This was not my 1st visit here (bad experience in the past), but when I needed a take out dinner tonight, I decided to return to give Donna's another try. Thankfully, it was a very good experience tonight. The service was pleasant, and the portions were quite generous. Tonight, there was a special meal, Stew Chicken, for $5.99 all day. It came with 3 heaping spoonfuls of peas and rice and a small side salad. The chicken was not spicy at all, but I made it spicy at home. Next time, instead of the stew gravy, I will ask for the jerk gravy on top. The plantains were cooked perfectly and the whole meal was very enjoyable. The only thing that was not really clear from the pictures on the wall for the daily specials is that it shows a can of soda in the picture which makes you think it is included but it is not. They also have chicken specials on Monday and Wednesday, which I will definitely return for.

I ordered stewed fish only to get home to find the other half of fish was not there paid 14.00 for 1/2 of a fish, what away to do a customer who supports your business. Not anymore. The beha iors here are unbelievable, I ask one of the ladies who served me a question she looked at me walked away and totally ignored me. This how you treat people oh wowwwww!!!!!!!

The restaurant isn't designed for groups to dine in comfortably. No imagination is put into the decor, BUT the food is delicious! The pea soup is to die for!! I've also had the fried chicken which is cooked to perfection and the oxtail which is nice. I've had the salt fish fritters which are too greasey but the fried dumplings (Johnny Cakes) are just DELICIOUS.... More to cone as I work .y way through the menu.
