This has been one of my favorite Japanese restaurants for many years. And it never disappoints! The food is amazing and the people are even better. I can not explain the joy and happiness you feel as soon as you walk in. The food is very fresh and there are a lot of varieties to choose from. I love this restaurant and hopefully you will too.

Got recommended this location for their sushi. It’s amazing ! Really love the size for them, wish I got sukuna figure, not much of a fan of hello kitty friends. First time trying curry and it was great. It was packed when I got there but we still fill form with name and number which I don’t think is necessary unless it was actually packed. Great service, clean location.

2 weeks ago we weren’t kick out, We just left from Koume Japanese Restaurant The owner/ chef wouldn’t let my 5 year old his own (empty) sippy cup. He took it out of my hand twice and asked me to put it away. Last time we were there they had some but look old. Me, being proactive brought our own since he is under the spectrum and it’s hard for him yet to drink from a regular cup. They didn’t offered me other option cause theirs cup don’t have lids. The ironic part is that their uniform states they are “Human” (Coming from the disrespect the Asian community suffered during the pandemic) I was just so angry, aren’t kids under the spectrum “Human” as well? We left and went to the restaurant next door. Not all disabilities are visible! We weren’t asking for nothing extra but to use our own cup.

I've given this place three chances, and while the sushi is decent (though overpriced), the service is consistently terrible. It’s clear that customer care is not a priority here. Chef Toshi, in particular, is extremely rude and arrogant. On multiple occasions, he has taken items out of my hands without permission—like water bottles—and claimed they were prohibited, which is both disrespectful and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadows everything else. I’ll never come back, and I strongly suggest you do the same.

I don’t know what has happened to the service here but this is the second time we’ve had a bad experience in less than a month. We Ordered a $13 sushi roll got an egg roll instead. They offered to give me the Spider roll I paid for if I came back the next day, not with the next order or a refund. We Never got an apology. We didn’t want sushi 2 nights in a row, but we shrugged it off. Tonight we tried again we ordered a Mexican roll which comes with spicy mayo inside the roll. I asked for it on the side instead and they said it would be an extra charge to get a side order of mayo. I explained I didn’t want an additional side to just take the amount that would go inside and put it on the side since it’s too spicy for my roommate who will be sharing the roll with me. I’m assuming the up-charge was for the small container or they are simply being unreasonable, either way it’s abysmal customer service. The point is not the money it’s the lack of loyalty to a frequent customer. They lost a $65 order tonight and any additional business in the future over a .30 up-charge.

I live in the Cutler Bay area and decided to stop by this spot for Boba Tea. I was pleasantly surprised as I found it to be the best Boba in the area, in my opinion! I ordered the Thai tea and my husband ordered the Taro. We were both happy to find a new spot to snatch a Boba treat at :) We have not tried the food yet, but I’m sure we will one day soon :)

Koume has quickly become my go-to sushi spot! The sushi & ramen are delicious, the atmosphere is amazing, service is always so kind, & the dining space is so clean and well kept. I bring friends and family here often and plan to continue doing so. See you tomorrow!

If you want amazing sushi in a no fuss place, this is the one! The food is very fresh, the portions are generous, the prices are perfectly acceptable, and the flavors are on point.
Toshi, the owner, is also a great host and makes the experience even better.
The place is small, but it’s always those that look unassuming that end up surprising you. Go ahead and give it a shot!
