The food is very authentic. Lived and worked in Japan for over 5 years - have been searching for something like this since I got to Miami. Definitely will be back. For those that like the Latin fusion version - they have those options as well.

My favorite restaurant in South FL. I've been dining here for 10 years and I love trying all of their specials. Some of my faves on the menu are crispy bok choy, yakiniku, bbq eel, eggplant miso cheese with seafood, crispy needle fish, yaki udon noodles, sukiyaki hot pot, crunchy toro tartare roll, the sashimi and nigiri is always top quality ?. Thank you Marumi ?

The fish in the sushi and sashimi dishes is not fresh, and the service staff has a bad attitude! The whole restaurant smells like a toilet!Probably won’t consume it again

Very good and authentic Japanese izakaya experience. Try the rare sukiyaki with raw egg dipping.

Service is good, our waiter is friendly and attentive with me and my sister. The ambience is pleasant and not at all noisy. When it comes to the food, it was very delicious. I ordered the Japanese Katsu Curry with chicken, the only problem was I wanted seconds. My sister is a light eater so she ordered the crispy needle fish and bitter melon with pork and tofu. The crispy needle fish is a must try. Overall, we had a good experience and will be coming back to try different dishes.

Yummy foods as always!!! Too bad too far from our house. Great attentive service! Casual Izakaya vibe. This is our family fav spot...

this is my current favorite date night spot, marumi's authenticity catches your eye from the moment you are greeted. i tend to be picky with food but the crispy bok choy is FIRE it's a must try. the menu has tons of options and variety as well!

Cool place open late. Good vibe. Great menu, mediocre food. Tried the Uni pasta . tepid, weak recipe. Good presentation but tasteless. No unctuous Uni butter completely lacking in flavor 2 sushi we ordered were good. Sevice terrible rushed unfriendly.

I’ve been coming here for 13 years, and every time the food has been consistently great . The fish is always fresh and hot food is well seasoned . I’ve never had a bad tasting dish from this place. The servers are really friendly and respectful, and it’s clean as well. I recommend making reservations as it’s always busy.

We heard about this place from a few friends of ours; it's a place that many Japanese people frequent. It's a small little place in a strip mall that doesn't look like much. But they do give you a sampling of many kinds of food you will find in Japan. Typically over there, you'll find individual restaurants that have a specific thing (ramen, sushi, etc). But here they do a little of each of them. We've been here a couple of times, and we really do enjoy it. Everything has been terrific and seems fairly authentic. The service is good, and they will show you the specials board so you can see a few unique items that aren't on the menu. And yes, there are a few items that are vegetarian.

1st time visitors but others in our party like this restaurant.Small location so make a reservation.Service wasn't that great. He wasn't terrible but definitely was too many tables for him to serve properly. They are short staff and this place stayed packed from the moment we got there until we left.Food wasn't anything really to write home about. Portions are very very small and over priced.

My favorite Japanese restaurant. I come frequently and everytime we have excellent food and service. The only problem is I didn’t find them sooner.

A Japanese restaurant that offers a very large and wide variety of items (from sushi, to curry, to hotpot, to ramen and more). There's also a separate menu that lists daily specials, so you'll never be lacking in choices to choose from. Service is great, the lighting is dim at night to give visitors a late-night comfortable meal (they close at 1am!) I would come here due to regularly craving their uni pasta (keeping in mind this is MP). The uni pasta is definitely my favorite dish: So soft, buttery and when you mix the uni with the Ikura (fish eggs) and angel hair pasta, you taste a dish of utter perfection. Occasionally I'll stop by for a quick udon soup, which is very comforting to eat at night. Not pictured - their grouper head is very flavorful and freshly served.

The food here never disappoints and the A5 Wagyu when they have it is amazing. Worth the price. Ramen is good, the sushi is basic but really good too.
