I'm sad to read that this establishment has permanently closed. The service, food and ambiance was perfect and I wish the owners all the best.

One of my to go sushi spots in the area and very sad it has closed! The service was friendly and the ambiance relaxing. Always very fresh food and sushi. I hope it reopens!

I have to say, I really wanted to like this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the server. It's a small cool spot, but my first indication of "not-authentic", should've been it says on Yelp, Japanese and Thai. Also, the spot does not have a Thai feel or a Japanese feel. I believe when you do "fusion", that means you have perfected both dishes and brought them together. Here, they need to stick to one or the other, but then again, neither were memorable. Having traveled to Thailand and eating in Queens, the capital of Asian cuisine, neither the Japanese or the Thai side was impressive. The sushi was not fresh at all and you can tell by looking at it and the sushi cuts were amateurish. For apps, we had steamed shumai, and it was just okay. A little too big for our liking and seemed like they were frozen then warmed up. They gave us complimentary veggie rolls, a nice touch, but the veggie is mushy on the inside. We ordered the sushi morí that had 6 pieces of sushi (chef's choice) and spicy tuna roll. The toll was not spicy at all. The sesame seeds were not needed on the rolls and they should state that on the menu that sesame seeds come on them. We also ordered the Garlic duck that came with white rice. I don't know what to say. The few pieces of duck laid on a pile of cabbage, carrots and broccoli for $27. I noticed people ordering the pad Thai. We should've ordered that and stayed simple. But we look for good authentic, special dishes that people wouldn't normally order. The best part of the meal was the Thai Singha beer. What a disappointment.

I only ate The shrimp shumai, soup, and papaya salad. But it was all good, and fresh! Would definitely go back if I lived in the area.

If I could, I would give this place 1/2 a star or less. The food was bland, I’m sure they don’t make it like this in Thailand!I ordered the basil chicken and surprise there was hardly any chicken and I didn’t taste any basil. I like veggies as much as the next person but I got a boatload of bamboo shoots! 2 people and they only gave us one pair of chopsticks, no napkins, no utensils. I will never order from this place again.

A first-timer at Thai Thyme and it won’t be my last time. The service was outstanding with smiles and kindnesses by Pinky and Pom. The sushi chefs created artistic plates from a marvelous menu that offers up a splendid array of traditional and out-of-the-box choices. Everything we enjoyed at this cozy eatery was delectable. A dining delight!

Worst food ever. Wife and I ordered two different plates that included chicken. It has no flavor whatsoever. The chicken strips looks like they were boiled in plain water. The rice had no flavor. We lived in the neighborhood and tried this restaurant about a year ago. Food was awful. We were hungry and it was late. Told my wife, let's give it another shot. Not worth it. Strongly recommend that you try somewhere else.

Thai Thyme is our neighborhood go to place for Thai and Japanese food. Great food, reasonably priced and nice folk to wait on you. I highly recommend.

Absolutely one of my favorite places for pad Thai. It's a bit on the sweeter side which I actually like but have requested it to be a little hotter and have not been disappointed. The sushi rolls are fresh and tasty. I would absolutely recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. Dining area is a bit small and fills up fast.
