“As an out of towner, I was introduced to El Amigo and was blown away by the authentic Mexican food. The tacos al pastor were amazing—the homemade corn tortillas brought them together perfectly. “Great tacos at good prices. The American style flour tacos were filling and loaded with cheese, cream cheese, lettuce and tomato, and the Mexican style corn tacos had lots of cilantro and onion. The meats in the tacos had lots of flavor. Had the asada, campechano, shrimp, and chicken tacos, and next time we'll be trying the waitress's suggestion of tongue.”

I'm told the now Roberts Blvd, took you to the actual river camp site.”

“My wife and I stopped by this place for the 7th anniversary celebration. We are from the neighboring state and wanted a weekend out, best decision we have made in a while for entertainment. Food was amazing both from the caterer they hired and from the selection of food they offered “in house”. The service was top notch, friendly, expedient and the alcohol content in the drinks was definitely higher than any other bars I have been to (it’s a thing for bars to water down drinks to save money/doesn’t happen here). The owners were constantly walking around socializing and ensuring everything was up to every customer’s expectations. The entertainment was beyond words. I just have to say this will be a definite repeat on our list of places to go.”

They did offer a basket of chips and salsa, which was good, but the guacamole was average. “This joint appears to be a liquor store / lounge combo, I stopped in to grab some beer, a bottle of Malibu Rum and some lotto tickets and not interested in seating in a bar on this beautiful afternoon. This is a rather small store with limited options considering there isn't much competition in this small town but there's enough here to get you by and save you some driving. The attendant was friendly and immediately offered to help find anything we needed while tending to a customer at the drive-up window which is a nice option I guess.The prices here are somewhat reasonable, I'm really not sure how the state regulates pricing, fortunately for me my scratch off lottery tickets paid out and I realized a nice discount off the total purchase and that always makes the beer taste better. If I had any disappointment here it was they don't sell Dos Equis Amber which is one of my favorites but the Modelo was cold and not dated out so I got over it pretty quick after arriving back at the camp ground...”

“Lil Bits Country Diner is only open for breakfast and lunch. We come for breakfast. We ordered eggs and hash-browns. One of us got bacon the other sausage. They also gave us the voice of toast or biscuits. Everything was good. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.”
