“This is by far the best Pakistani food I've had anywhere in Orlando. The whole time I was there for the buffet, I counted a rotating average of 20 desis. Everyone in the restaurant was desi. The food was delicious. They actually used real salt in their dishes.
Improvement recommendations: water jug on table, serve bread hot, one at a time and put salt shaker with salt and chaat masala on table, cut lemons a bit bigger to make it easy to squeeze, refill fresh cut chillies, cilantro frequently.
Btw, Pakistani like to cook the Shucks out of their bbq because most of us love it well done, charred, and it also ensures we don't get sick.“

Our server and the rest of the staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which added to the initial enjoyment of the meal. That said, the experience was impacted by how aggressively plates were being cleared. I was using one plate for crab scraps and politely asked several times to keep it, but the manager insisted on removing it—ultimately doing so in a way that felt unnecessarily forceful and intimidating. I completely understand wanting to keep the table tidy, but it felt excessive. At one point, even placing a napkin down seemed to trigger someone rushing over to take it away. I appreciate attentive service, but this was a bit too much. With a little more space and patience from management, this could have been an excellent dining experience.“

“Our family has been looking for a new bbq place, and we found it! Large menu, good prices, hot and fresh food. I'm allergic to pineapple, and most bbq sauce has pineapple in it. I ordered a full slab of ribs, sauce on the side. I was pleasantly surprised that even with no sauce the ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor throughout. Every piece had that slow-marinated taste that many chicken chains try to achieve but rarely deliver.

The black beans were a standout. Rich, savory, and full of flavor, they tasted like they had been simmering for hours rather than scooped from a steam table. Paired with the rice, they created the kind of comfort-food combination that feels homemade.

The sweet plantains brought the perfect balance of sweetness to the plate, soft and caramelized with just the right amount of color.

What truly separates La Granja from the competition is the onion bar. The selection of spicy onions, garlic onions, and fresh pico-style onions allows customers to customize every bite. Those toppings add acidity, texture, freshness, and heat that elevate the entire meal. As a chef, I appreciate details like that because they’re the difference between a good meal and a memorable one.

And yes, I’m going to say it: La Granja is better than Pollo Tropical. The chicken is more flavorful, the black beans have more depth, and the condiment bar creates a more complete dining experience. While Pollo Tropical helped popularize Caribbean-style grilled chicken in South Florida, La Granja delivers a bolder flavor profile that keeps me coming back.

Best food around at a reasonable price I got a whole fish at midnight and my boyfriend got jerk vegan chicken rice and peas was nice. If you’re out late at night we came after the comedy show at Lauderhill performing and it is made to order so just relax and enjoy.“
