But what really took it to the next level was our server, Patti! She was an absolute superstar – friendly, attentive, quick with recommendations, and just genuinely warm. She remembered our order without missing a beat, checked in at the perfect times, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Patti’s energy and smile turned a simple meal into a memorable experience. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction.
The food came out fast and hot, portions were generous (we left stuffed!), and the prices are super reasonable. Clean, comfortable booths, great atmosphere – it’s everything a diner should be. If you’re in the area, near the airport, or just craving classic American comfort food, head to Lester’s and ask for Patti if you can. She’s the cherry on top of an already fantastic spot!

I ordered the chili and cheese omelette with potatoes and wheat toast, which was highly recommended by the sweet and charming Janet, my lovely waitress. From the moment I sat down, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the restaurant a true "Mom & Pop" vibe that made me feel right at home. My food arrived in less than 5 minutes, which was impressive! The omelette was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were crisp and flavorful, all complemented by a nice, hearty wheat toast. To top it off, the coffee and water were just what I needed to round out a perfect meal. The friendly atmosphere and personal touch from the staff made this a standout dining experience. “Red Fox Diner deserves every bit of praise. Our server, Stanley, delivered the kind of attentive service you rarely experience when sitting outside. He kept our coffee and water refilled without us ever having to ask, checked on us frequently, and did it all with genuine care. At one point I even told him he was almost too good of a server.

The food matched the service. The oatmeal was hearty, delicious, and felt genuinely nutritious. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was perfect and the home fries, which Stanley recommended, were outstanding.

“I absolutely LOVE Denny’s and I went there today for lunch. The service was outstanding and the food scrumptious. However, upon leaving I realized the floor was EXTREMELY SLIPPERY I believe from grease. Now this is a 24 hour location but something needs to be done so no one suffers a severe injury from falling. The location is in Fort Lauderdale at 5000 N. Federal Highway. Please take care of this issue. I almost slipped and so did my spouse. One of the wait staff mentioned something about skating.“
