We stumbled into this fine gem after having left a horrible experience at another restaurant down the road in where we left without ordering anything.
The atmosphere was warm and the service was amazing. Our waitress who was also our bartender, our hostess, and main manager were so welcoming, engaging and got us into quite a few fun jokes and a rowdy story as well. The perfect turn around to what would have otherwise been a really untoward night.
We ordered the Calamari and the Osobuco which was a special recommended to us by our fabulous server. The garlic rolls were to die for, the calamari was a portion enough to feed an army and the salad and Osobuco were out of this world. The meat was so tender it just dissolved on the fork.
Phenomenal food, wonderful service and people, and a lovely date night ambience. Can't ask for a perfect save and a perfect night.

Food was delicious. Staff were amazing. Seated right away, not an extensive menu to make yourself indecisive. Old Italian-American classics but attention to detail. Erika, our server, was very sweet and consistently checked on us and kept refilling our drinks. Fresh bread, calamari that was cut perfectly — not too thin, excellent cold crisp salad, and a portion of chicken parmigiana that was too much to eat in one sitting. Will definitely be returning.

I saw this joint and thought it had potential. I had a reservation set for 7pm and wasn't sat until almost 8pm. I was reassured when setting the time for dinner it would be on time. I was finally sat at a table which had food still left on it from the party before and the silverware was stained also. The server was good, no complaints there. After ordering the dinner that the server recommended, I was very disappointed. I had high expectations about this place and come to find out it felt like it was take-out from Olive Garden. Dry, tough chicken. Reminded me of food that had been sitting for a while and forgot to be brought right out. It was just the kind of experience that really ruined the whole time. I went to use the restroom before I left and decided not to even use the facilities because of the uncleanliness of it. Will not be going back. I had heard it was a great place years ago but apparently whoever has it now is running it into the ground

The shrimp scampi was another standout—the fettuccini tasted freshly made, and the garlic butter sauce was perfectly balanced. The salad was crisp and well-dressed, and the garlic rolls we *did* get were absolutely addictive. A glass of chianti rounded out the meal beautifully.

Literally the best Italian food we ever had. That’s saying something, as we frequent South Philly for Italian. We thought there wasn’t any better, we were wrong. It’s pricey but worth every cent. Portions are large, and absolutely delicious!

Always a favorite with delicious Italian food. We love the heart of romaine house salad, the dressing, the gorgonzola cheese. Of course garlic knots are excellent. The noise level unfortunately makes it difficult to hear server or have conversation at times but we still love the atmosphere and service.
