Mixed drinks were awful. Service was just as bad. Staff had no sense of urgency. Only reason to go here is the rooftop view. It's a shame that one can get better service and drinks in the local dive bars. Place could be awesome if they had a staff that truly cared.

Packed bar and restaurant with one bartender. It’s not her fault, but the experience tonight was not at all as expected from our favorite hidden treasure.

This place has a lot of work to do. First, we get three of our four meals. My steak was about ten minutes later. My wife’s sides were simply cold and took about twenty minutes to replace. Steaks were quite good but again, sides had issues. Server decided she should spend some quality time getting to know the next table so rather than follow up with us and see what was goin wrong she simply stood by them and schmoozed. Order an unsweet tea with no lemon. Get a sweet tea with lemon slices. Ask for ketchup from server and wait seven minutes for it. Just not that hard these things they do wrong. Once the place fills up the lack of any acoustic dampening makes normal conversation next to impossible. Nice view of ocean. One assistant chef spent about 15 minutes talking to the woman at another table. Maybe if she has found her away back to kitchen we wouldn’t have had to wait for things so long. Seemingly no manager in restaurant. Highly unlikely to go back.

Service was the worst. Server personality was super. But I think management should check up if they need help from both bar and kitchen. I believe she had to many table to give the service customer deserves.

Why do they charge $30 for a crappy, super weak Manhattan made with house rye? Crazy!!

Beach views are amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing- so go here to feed your soul, DO NOT go here to feed your appetite. The food does not live up to the descriptions on the menu. In fact, my meal was so bland that I think eating the menu would have been more flavorful. As my food was refrigerator cold and jumbled together, I am pretty sure if fell straight off the Marriott food delivery truck onto my plate. The service was slow to non existent. My heart went out to the one server, who was wonderful, as she was tasked with taking care of every table. Word of warning- if you should want more than one drink, order two the first time or bring a flask.

One word. "Vanilla."
With an amazing beachside location, you could go for the views, just don't go there hungry. The food and the service were both lacking.
The food was very bland and "corporate." This is a hotel-run restaurant so I had lowered expectations going in. There's a reason Jimmy Buffett sings about the "menu at a Holiday Inn" but, I thought Marriott might have hired a chef and decided to try brunch. It's as if the food was pulled off the MDS truck, heated up and plated. No spice. No butter. No extra.
First, the sharable. A ricotta orange pound cake. Presented well, but none of us thought it tasted any different than a Sara Lee out of the box.
My fellow diner had the Arepa Shakshuka. It was cold. Imagine how a cold poached egg tastes. Sending it back was a chore because Marriott had one server attempting to work the entire brunch meal. Drink refills and contact with the server was minimal. Not her fault as she had the inside and outside areas to cover.
I opted for the 1912 Benedict. An eggs Benedict variation that sounded good on the menu but turned out to be very plain, very...MEH. The C&P grits sounded exotic on the menu. "PURPLE GRITS, NEUSKE JALAPENO CHEDDAR BACON SAUSAGE, POACHED EGGS, SOFRITO." Those words describe a meal that should be packed with flavors but again...very plain.
I had to get up and go hunt for salt and pepper for the table. Again, an over-extended server was trying to juggle too many tables.
There is a rooftop area which probably affords some amazing ocean views but, based on the restaurant experience, I feel like it is probably just an extension of the hotel lobby bar. In my mind there's some sad bartender in his corporate white, linen, slate, and chalkboard uniform using a jigger for EVERY drink because cameras are watching.
If you have a stuffy boss or boring co-workers bring them here. It's...safe.

Excellent experience on the rooftop! Tuna poke bowls were delicious. Our bartender, Katie, was very personable and attentive , and also made an incredible spicy margarita. We can’t wait to come back!

We are locals and super excited to go to this upscale oceanfront locale to bring out of town family and friends. It is beautiful on the rooftop! The service was SUPER DISAPPOINTING! It was confusing to get up there with the odd doors #1-no biggie. Found a great spot overlooking ocean… Sat there… No service. Finally after quite some time, we decided to divide and conquer… I sat in our spot to save it while hubby went to bar to order and self serve… like a fast food chain lol. Took FOREVER! Finally Got drinks. Service after that just got worse. Ignored. Ppl to left of us got served at their seats. Us and ppl to right got no service. It was overall confusing n disappointing. Especially thinking it was an upscale date night spot. Ugh! We decided to g go down to second floor bar to get service and food. Bartender Matt was very nice and food was average. It was better just because of him. Wishing service was better … cause it sure is a pretty location. Valet guys were nice, hostess was nice. They need more help to make it good. A shame!

This is one of the top restaurants in the city. Valet service, attentive service, an interesting menu that rotates, and an ocean front upscale setting is the best way to describe the restaurant. This city needs more upscale waterfront restaurants and this is by far the best upscale waterfront restaurant I've been to in Jacksonville.

The tranquil view overlooking the water was a treat combined with the exceptional service from Mila. She was attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it. Mila was the bow to top off a great visit.
