The menu and prices are what drew me to Palm Valley and I was not disappointed. Several items on the menu tempted my palate. I chose the baked cod and it was delicious. A great blend of flavors not experienced before. The cod was fresh and flaky. The creaminess of the grits and goat cheese mixed with the smoked bacon bites was a delight. The crowning with succotash was unique. I would pear this dish with a Pinot or Red Blend given its depth. Looking forward to trying other choices another day! Perhaps on a date ;)

This place is a gem. We were looking for a place for dinner while attending a conference nearby. No reservation and was promptly seated at the bar. Very cozy place with a small interior dinning room. The outdoor dinning area looked more expansive but it was dark and quite chilly so no one was eating outside. The food was fantastic as well as the service. They put their own spin on the classic Shrimp & Grits and it was a hit. My spouse had the seafood boil and she loved it. The portions are hearty. You could really taste the freshness of the seafood. We look forward to dinning again in warmer weather and enjoying the waterside deck.

Excellent experience all around. The setting lives up to previous reviews. The wait staff are prompt and attentive. The food: My wife ordered the blue crab seafood soup and it was superb, I'm not a fan of soup but one spoonful had me wishing I had ordered a bowl for myself; full of crabmeat and bursting with flavor. I had the broiled platter which I would put in the top 5 of all the seafood places I've been to in the past 50 years from Key West up to Norfolk. My wife had the Greek salad with grilled chicken for her meal which she said she'd order again which coming from her is a huge compliment. We finished off with the bread pudding which was good but next time we would try a different desert. The kitchen was very slow today esp since the place was only half full. A manager and the waiter both apologized and thanked us for our patience. We were there almost an hour and a half. I suppose somebody was a no show. The food however was worth the wait and we'll definitely return soon.

Honestly, hands down: both the best hush puppies and calamari I've ever had. We split a great soup, appetizer and two entrees, fantastic meal. Sat out on the waterfront, would highly recommend.

I love October. Sitting outside on a perfect evening. The waiter that served us (table 54 lol) last night was spot on. Crusted cod and the New Orleans style Mayport Shrimp and grits specials were both hits.

Parked here about a week ago. Ate dinner with my family. Walked out to our car and a white F-150 was parked sideways blocking our car in. Had to walk the entire restaurant, 20 minutes or so, only to find the culprit drunk at the bar. Asked if anyone drove a white Ford F-150 and the guy spoke up. Said a few smart remarks and as he was following me out to move his car he asked me if I worked at Palm Valley Outdoors. I said no, I don't, do you? He said yes and told me where I parked was employee parking and I can't park there. Last I checked people park wherever they want in their giant lot. It's a bad look to have your drunk employees think it's ok to force a customer to walk the restaurant trying to find someone blocking them in. I'm sure the management knows who this is, and they might want to tell them they don't run the place and control the parking lot. Other than this experience the restaurant was wonderful. Maybe I'll get a response and would be happy to edit my remark if I feel the problem has been addressed.
