We stopped by one very hot day and we found the door was open, and we were the only ones there and Paul shared some very cool life stories with us in a very cool place aWith much needed A/C and the wine tasting was wonderful sa we just had to take a few bottles (case) with us back to Michigan.Thank you Paul

Long overdue 5 star review for Paul and his place. My wife and I have been regulars since we moved here three years ago. I’m a beer guy and never had anything other than store bought wine prior to popping into Gilded Grape. We went to a wine tasting event and karaoke night before, where I got to experience wines outside of my comfort zone. Since then, we’ve made our own batches, and continually try their other wines. Most recently, we popped in for a few bottles of wine and decided to stop and do a tasting. Which includes 6 wines of your choice and a 7th dessert wine, along with some pretzels and water. After being pleasantly surprised with new to us flavors, we decided on a red, white, and dessert wine to take home. We are planning on having some family come down to visit is in Port Charlotte and we will stop by this weekend for another wine tasting event and karaoke night. See you then Paul and company!

Was ok. Wine was pretty good. Paul and Bob nice folks. A real local vibe. Karaoke getting ready to start. I liked the watermelon wine. Had a cheese platter without crackers, as I have to be Gluten free because of Celiac's disease. Wine pour for tasting very generous. Not a big place but Paul is the owner and they had a little crowd come in today so he did good., maybe didn't have as much time to chat as usual. But did good by us regardless. Maybe a little flustered. We left with some of the watermelon wine and the desert wine that had notes of the black forest cake. Thanks for having us guys!

I went on a Saturday during karaoke and had a flight of fruit wines. They were really good, especially the tropical lime with coconut wine. ?? ? I also had the small charcuterie snacks with grapes. Nice place to enjoy really good wine.
