We had not been to an IHOP in a long time, since the one closest to us in Ohio closed. When visiting in Florida we got to have breakfast at the IHOP in Port Charlotte. Rachel, our server, was great — very friendly and took wonderful care of us. The restaurant itself needs a little updating, but the food, and especially the service Rachel provided, made our breakfast most enjoyable.
My family and I ended up here after trying to find a place… great service. I had the T-bone… it was a little small (or maybe I’m just greedy), but it was perfectly cooked. This is one of the most popular spots in Port Charlotte and with good reason; I’ll definitely come again.

Update: I was contacted by the location owner and they invited me back and I went with my family for breakfast and it was a complete 180 from the previous experience. Rachel was attentive and conversational, and not just with our table, but others too from what I observed. The food was great and I will go back as I do want to try their steak. _____ Server didn't ask how I wanted my eggs and when they came they were just too runny. I asked her to have them refried and she said no but then told the cook I didn't say I wanted them dry. Loud enough for me to hear. The portion I got was then half the size of what I got before. I ordered pancakes and I wasn't asked if I wanted syrup...none was on the table. I ordered fruit. It didn't come with my meal. I had to ask for it. Then finally when I went to pay, I was using my phone and had it on the card I wanted to use but they charged a different one because they took my phone and walked off with it as opposed to having me come with them. Doubt I will go back to this location. The balloon guy was nice though. Very entertaining.

The woman answering the phone did not even say hi, continued her conversation with anothet employee before helping me, the woman had straight attitude beyond belief, don't enjoy your job? Quit then. Sorry for interrupting your oh so important conversation. The woman answering and your limited menu can shove it.

Excellent salmon and broccoli. Well cooked and delicious. Large piece of fish. Very nice tasty avocado toast with egg and hash browns. Freshly cooked and smartly served.

Good breakfast quantity, I had The Split Decision. The quality of food was fine, typical of a large franchise; I found the sausage a little lacking, but the French toast was worth repeating. Our server Loni was friendly and checked in with us as we ate.

The cheesecake pancakes are nothing what they use to be. Instead of bits inside pancake it was a swirl of cheesecake on top. So not good. I won't order that again.

Menu smelled like a sour dish rag. Floor was sopping wet and we were escorted to our table through the wet floor. Floor was still wet when we left. Restaurant was empty. 3 rowdy and loud teens entered and were seated in the adjoining booth right behind us. Eggs were perfect. Bacon limp and pancakes were awful. We got the weekday special 2x2x2.
