My mother and I stopped in for the first time yesterday for dinner and had a wonderful experience! We each ordered a platter with haddock, shrimp, fries (for me), and vegetables (for her; they generously let her substitute). The haddock was delightful, and they provided all the condiments we needed to season our food to our liking; LOVE the practicality of the spray bottle with vinegar! The waitress who served us was so friendly and kind; hard-working, too, not letting up for a moment while she helped welcome several other parties, answered the phone, and served meals over the course of our own. Give my compliments to her, please; she deserves it! Their clam chowder is exactly what I expected in the best way possible, by the way. Lastly, try the spumoni cake if you still have an appetite/sweet tooth; you won't be let down! Will be a returning patron if I get another chance!

First time visit,will come back again to try other items on menu. Wasn't a fan of the coating on the fried shrimp included with my platter. Too much,tasty but abit heavy.

I order a fisherman plater I was expecting a large portion for the price I pay$39 but unfortunately it didn't pass my expectations even my wife was surprised and complained about it, never again will order from this place again

This is the real deal New England seafood, the owner is in the kitchen and makes the best scallops. I think I’ve ever had. The fish and chips is outstanding!

Nice no frills cafe serving fresh New England fare. Good variety, nothing is frozen and prices are fare. Waitress was great. We will definitely be back.

I bought the special of the day a lobster roll and ended up being terribly sick 🤢

We stopped here as this restaurant is on the way home after running errands and we remember seeing an ad earlier for lobster roll ($22.99) on Saturdays. We were not hungry and just wanted to try the lobster roll and try a new place. We told the waitress we would share and she said no problem. The lobster roll came with one side: potato salad, French fries, Cole slaw. We chose French fries as a side. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The amount of lobster meat was not of a generous portion on a hot dog bun. What we found disconcerting was the bill, which came to more than $28.00. When my husband queried the amount, only then were we told that they charged $3.00 for splitting the lunch, plus a charge for using the credit card. The customers should be informed when there is an upcharge. We are not coming back.

This sweet little mom and pop dinner is definitely a hidden gem here in Port Charlotte! This was our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised.
You definitely get that local dinner feel upon entering and we were promptly greeted by the waitress. She was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials.
It became quite busy during our lunch however or waitress we so attentive, keeping our drink full at all times that uou never would have known.
Everything tasted so fresh! From the new England clam chowder to the lobster mac and cheese!! Very impressed, reasonably priced, we will be back!!
