I can’t rate the quality of the food because the service was so bad we never got food. We arrived around 6:10pm on a Thursday. We found a parking space with no problem and were told we could wait for a table (picnic tables) or there was open seating at the bar. We opted for the bar and took two of the many open seats right at the bar, not the dining bar behind the actual bar. There were two female servers behind the bar, one was engrossed in conversation with the only two other patrons at this bar. 5 seats were open. The second server was doing nothing. No one greeted us of or gave us menus. After a while we reached over and got our own menus. We decided on drinks but still got no one’s attention. Suddenly the server who was doing nothing came to life and appeared to greet us. But no, someone she knew had arrived and took the two seats next to us. She whisked two menus to them, got them the IPA she recommended to them, then started scrolling through her phone to show them some pictures, while the 2nd server was still engaged in her private conversation and we were completely ignored. After 25 minutes (according to Life360, not my perception) we left. I informed the two staff at the host/hostess station why we were leaving. Literally the two bar servers treated us as though we were invisible. Their loss. No money for the restaurant, no tip for them. We found a much better place with excellent service. We will not be giving Boondocks another try.

We bragged about your restaurant to our son when he was visiting so he said we should go. While the ambiance and service is great, the food left us unimpressed. We didn't say anything because our son paid for our meal and I didn't want him to think we didn't enjoy it. The issue was the fried shrimp meal we ordered was really overcooked, almost to burnt. I was kind of surprised they'd serve it that way. We've always been happy in the past, maybe just an off night, it was the night a boat caught fire nearby.

This place is a hidden gem in wilbur by the sea. The steamed shrimp. I like it spicy. The clam chowder is fantastic. The wait staff is fantastic... ALL OF THEM. And best of all you get to enjoy it all on the water. We come here whenever we visit fam in Florida. Make sure to go.

Disappointing mussels, similar to what an Asian buffet would serve. (Those typical orange farm raised mussels ) Not how it used to be years ago. Most certainly not fresh but frozen. To add insult to injury the mussels were overcooked and consequently tough. Wine quality supbar, barely drinkable. Very low quality for the money paid. I'd come again for a beer but the food seems to have gone downhill. Not worth the sticker tag but unfortunately too many are blinded by the views. Staff is wonderful however so at least it's a pleasant experience.Parking: Parking is free and provided in private parking lot

Those peel and eat shrimp! Get them seasoned and dig in, friends. The fish dip is amazing, too.Enjoy the atmosphere, casual setting and be sure to save some fries for the catfish to munch on before you leave.
