The service was good, food was not. Buffalo shrimp was way to heavily breaded. The buffalo wings were kinda rubbery and the sauce was extremely salty. It seems the older crowd was keeping this place going.

The atmosphere here is great to watch sporting events. The food is good and they are known for their wings. Not a great option if you are looking for a late night spot.

I feel that I must alert restaurant patrons to the unfortunate (relatively) new ploy which has been instituted at Hooligans in Port Orange. First off – the food is terrific, as is the service. The issue is simply this: the manner in which the bill is presented. For my entire life, on that restaurant bill, all the food and drinks add up to the “SUBTOTAL”. Then there is a separate line for “TAX” and when added to the subtotal you get the “TOTAL.” I clearly recall when, some 60 odd years ago, my dad taught me that you tip the 15-20% on the SUBTOTAL (i.e. the amount PRIOR to adding the tax.) I have been to other establishments where they provide a suggested tip (18, 20 % or more) and had previously seen how THOSE places were figuring out the tip based of the TOTAL including the tax…. Meaning that they were steering you now to be tipping not only on the subtotal amount but also the TAX amount. Sadly, many restaurants attempt to pay their service employees LESS per hour with the expectation that the paying public customers will pick up the slack for them! Well, the NEW ploy put into effect at Hooligans is that THEIR bill now designates the combination of the SUBTOTAL PLUS THE TAXES as the “NEW SUBTOTAL”. This of course has the hopes of tricking the unsuspecting consumer into NOT REALIZING they’d be tipping on the tax amount. Of course- if you are familiar with the traditional methods of tipping guidance, you recognize that the establishment is playing you for the fool. Now- don’t get me wrong… tips on service should be commensurate with the quality of the service provided. While I am likely not considered a ‘top tipper’, I do consistently leave 20% on reasonably decent service. While this may seem trivial- if you dine out often, as my wife and I do- then this amount (tipping on the tax) does add up. Bottom line is that I am fully supportive of the service industry (as I have some family members in it)- however, it seems insulting that the restaurant administration thinks that they can sneak this matter past the public.

It's was ok the food didn't come out hot might have been because our waitress didn't seem to want to be there or she was made because she had to work at her age. We've never had that kind of service before.

I brought a large group of people that included adults and children early on a Saturday. The staff was attentive, friendly and treated everyone with respect. They were prompt to refill our drinks, and checked on us while eating. Doreen was one of our servers and she was very pleasant. The food was great and we would definitely go back for the food and service.

Came here to watch the playoff games while traveling. Were open late enough to catch the whole game, wings “Wally’s way” were amazing! Definitely recommend! Staff were nice, upbeat and friendly and the service was very quick.

It’s a sports bar so it’s noisy. Service and food as expected.

Best potato skins I’ve had in a long time! Crispy skin, just enough potato, melty cheese, plenty of bacon & scallions. Sometimes it’s chilly inside. Wally wings and chicken tenders with sauce are great too. Their mild buffalo sauce feels more like a medium buffalo sauce - just food for thought.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Houligan’s Port Orange (1396 Dunlawton Ave). On February 12, 2025, I ordered food that was completely unacceptable in quality. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with an employee named Angel, who assured me they would fix the issue and asked me to come back. On February 14, 2025, before returning, I called ahead to confirm. Angel answered and transferred me to General Manager Sara, and that’s where things took a turn for the worse. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, Sara was rude, dismissive, and accusatory—implying that I was making unnecessary complaints. She lacked basic customer service skills, refused to take accountability, and made me feel completely undervalued as a customer. As a first-time customer, this was a terrible impression. Management should be helpful and solution-oriented, but Sara only made the situation more frustrating. If this is how they treat paying customers, I won’t be returning, and I encourage others to think twice before dining here. I strongly urge corporate to take action and replace Sara with someone who understands professionalism and customer care.
