My Husband was so excited to take me here for my first time. I had the crab cakes and he had the fish and shrimp platter. Both of these were so disappointing! They had no seasoning and no flavor! I have never had a crab cake that I didn’t like let alone that was so plain.

Love this place!! The food, service and atmosphere were great! William was our server and he was great! he was fast, friendly, and had a great attitude! The food was tasty portions were very large. I love being on the river. We will definitely go back!! Highly recommend this place for a great casual seafood experience! ?

Can't sit at bar while waiting for the table........rules. Crab cakes were mushy and missing the crab. Spicy shrimp was half off because they were so old you couldn't even peel them. Oysters are small, and one dozen only had 10 on the plate and the other dozen 11. Rude old lady, should retire and peel shrimp.

The shrimp was everything I imagined it would be if you pay cash you get a half pound for free that was brilliant. I was on vacation I'm from Minnesota? also the sweet tea was perfect not terribly sweet it was just incredibly windy so we had them shut the doors otherwise great experience!

A true gem of a local restaurant. The chedder bacon jalapeño grits along with the devil crab cake are a must have. Sit back, have a drink, eat some great food, and enjoy as this place has it all.

This is a great place to eat, enjoy the outdoors, and feel like you're on vacation. Food was good, lots of fried items however, I gave it a three star for service because you stand in line to place your own order and then bring your food to your table. Dress code...very casual...as you are minutes from the beach.

I found this great place on Google Maps and based on the reviews I thought we would try it out. We weren’t disappointed. The menu was extensive and the food was great as was the drinks. The location is beautiful and you can sit on the deck over the water and watch the world go by. Staff are friendly and make sure everyone is happy.

An excellent location - right on the water and kind of under a major thoroughfare bridge. But the traffic was not audible at all from the far side of the restaurant. Our server, Robin, was outstanding. Our used dishes were removed very quickly after each of us finished our food. Our tea glasses never went empty even after we finished eating. That is a rarity these days. The food gets a four out of five stars because my blackened mahi - great flavor - was a bit overdone. The shrimp and grits were very nice. The hushpuppies were moist and soft and delicious. (So many restaurants can’t get their hushpuppies right.) Deck Down Under is a restaurant we will be glad tonight go back to.
The shrimp were the dirtyest shrimp I have ever eaten ,while that is not the restaurants fault buying a better grade of shrimp is . Also, their cocktail sauce was rancid, sorry, thick and disgusting like they just kept adding to it .

Stopped for Dinner. Crab cakes were awesome. Bar included in price of foods but way overrated and quite frankly looks a little dicey BUT have a cinnamon roll - you will not be disappointed .
