Rossi's Side Street Cafe

I visited this restaurant on February 21st for breakfast and placed a takeout order. While waiting near the kitchen area, I observed three employees cooking and prepping food, as well as going in and out of the refrigerator. Not one of them was wearing gloves.
One employee reached into his pocket for his phone and then immediately handled food without washing his hands. The cook plated the food, blew on it, placed it in the microwave, wiped his hands on his pants, and continued cooking. Another employee was repeatedly touching food and going in and out of the refrigerator without gloves.
The overall lack of proper food handling and basic sanitation practices was very concerning. What I witnessed is very unsanitary and unacceptable.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

Very Good
Had to try the breakfast sandwich on the croissant and breakfast potatoes. First the coffee was very good and hot.The cups are a little small but they give free refills.
The sandwich was delicious. I had the ham,egg and cheese. They give you two eggs and plenty of ham. The red potatoes and onions didn't disappoint everything was hot and delicious.Very good glad we tried them again it's been years since we were there.I saw a picture on Facebook that made me crave this sandwich. Staff were all very friendly. Definitely will go back

This place was awesome. My family was looking for a place to eat ,something close to where we were. Unfamiliar with this area since we are from North carolina and moved here recently,we ran into this Gem!!! Excellent food,Excellent service,and the tables weren't too close together! 11/10!

I still dream about the cinnamon swirl pancakes weeks after our visit. All food was great, and service was awesome.

Great place and atmosphere food was delicious. I got the country fried steak was delicious. Crispy bacon and corn beef hash was good just a little too much potatoe for how I like. Overall would definitely go back and will add this to a breakfest spot id go to again and again.

Wow this place has really gone down, we’re once a year visitors to Port Orange and have eaten a few times each time we stay in PO. We won’t be visiting again. My daughter ordered the waffles with Nutella, there was so much Nutella that she just couldn’t eat them, the amount they put on there was rediculous. My daughters friend had the pancake and it tasted awful, like it haf been put on the pan right after the cook had bacon or sausage on it. I had the french toast, it was OK at best, very wet.
Our server never checked on us, she just kinda threw the bill on the table and walked away, never asked how everything was or anything. So when we went up to pay we told the cashier everything I mention above and she just said the nutella thing is a preference, obviously the pancake might have a taste of something else because it’s all cooked on the same grill. She gave me a $1.07 discount! 10% off of the waffles that weren’t eaten. I took the girls elsewhere because obviously they were still hungry. Very disappointing.
