Whiskey River On The Water

We had dinner there last night. Food was great and service was excellent. We’re from out of town and were looking for a non-chain local restaurant. They even put the TVs on the World Cup games for us.

The food here is nothing special but the atmosphere and view is nice. The service is good despite the food not being good. I’ve been there many times mainly for the bar.

Looking for a nice casual dining experience? You've found it! Excellent food and service. This was our first visit to Whiskey River but I can guarantee you that it will not be the last! Thank you to Candice for making us feel so welcome and for the great service.

I've been going here maybe 20 times a year for the last 7 years. The service is hit out miss honestly. Truly depends whom you get and if they have someone at the stand greeting you. If you don't see anyone up there, I just highly recommend actively going to the bar to try to find some way to see you.Because you can't tend to wait a long time, but there's someone there then you'll be sat immediately generally. The service itself is 50/50 I've been on this business 27 years Executive Chef for 15 of that so I speak from experience when i say I'd either vigorously do training or removing, they all are mostly for themselves and will make you feel like a burden. As for the food, it's not full blown bar food, it's at least Couple notches above that. I've never had a bad meal there, and I've tried a lot of their food. I feel that for a menu that is primarily ready to serve products and/orfrozen items, they do a good job, they could definitely use some tweaking but I'm not complaining either. The nachos and quesadillas are the best around these parts. And the fact that they have live music often is awesome cause we don't really have that around here, i personally enjoy going in the cooler months.

Had fish fry several months ago. Was fantastic. Got a take home fish fry the other day. Omg. It was horrible, rubbery. Threw out after a couple of bites.

I strongly believe in supporting local businesses!!
I’ve always had great experiences every time!
I recommend this great waterfront bar to people who are looking for for a cool place with great food!
Never had an issue and never been disappointed!
Until today I’m sorry to say!!
Their menu advertised Lobster Rolls sounded delicious!!
Never have I been more disappointed!!
Inside the roll was a total of four tiny pieces of lobster!!
The rest was what looked and tasted like imitation crab meat!! At a market price $29 dollars..
I’m not one to make a fuss and make a great waitress uncomfortable!!
To the new owner and management of this landmark establishment in our great town!!
Either take the lobster roll off your menu! Or serve the lobster roll you advertise on the menu!!
What’s on your menu is definitely not what’s served to your customers!!

The sweet tea isn't the best. Mashed potatoes weren't the best, shrimp was just okay but the autmopshere was fun !
