We sat at the bar and were served by the bartender, Kelly. My husband has some food allergies and she went above and beyond to be sure he was served appropriately prepared and seasoned food. In addition to providing excellent service to us and others at the bar, she maintained a steady stream of drink orders to the wait staff for their customers. The food was very good, the atmosphere comfortable and the service excellent!

Super friendly staff! Very accommodating and helpful. I was here with a group 16 including 10 kids. The staff was great! The seafood is of course super fresh. Great oysters both raw and fried.

Cat 5 is a regular stop when visiting PSJ, 2-3 times each visit up to 3 times a year (that’s 9 visits). We’ve always enjoyed coming for dinner and seeing the Amazing sunset view. However, we’ve noticed that service has dipped in our more recent visits. Food is always good and as expected. Also, add a side salad to your menu so we can at least get a healthier side option.

We had crab cakes, smoked tuna dip, raw oysters, fried grouper basket and the shrimp basket. It was pretty good. The food was not overcooked or greasy. The oysters tasted fresh. We also had 2 beers each, the tab was $100. I would go back.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator.

We stopped by for shrimp and oysters. The shrimp was soft to mushy which leads me to think they were not fresh. The oysters were ok but expensive….13.00 a 1/2 dozen. The hush puppies were boring, could definitely use some honey butter. Hands down Lynn’s in Eastpoint has the best shrimp and oysters.

Fried shrimp, crab cakes, cobia, & high country boil were all great. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. Beautiful view was an awesome bonus! Here again several times in 2023. Blackened mahi & fried shrimp are our favorites.

We were very happy with both the service and the food. The sunsets over the bay are spectacular. We will be coming back! They have an extremely friendly staff that really make you feel welcome.

After getting turned away at the other busy PSJ establishments, we were thrilled to get a table at Cat 5 and had an amazing experience. Shannon (SJ to her friends) took such good care of our hungry family. I personally ate the Fish Dip, half-dozen raw oysters and the seafood platter, and everything was top notch. The fried shrimp po boy and platters were on point and baby girl loved her cheeseburger and fries. We shall return!

Upstairs overlooking the bay. Cold air conditioning. Very attentive staff.Food was top notch for the caliber of place.Hog bites, chicken “wings”, scallps all goods kids liked their food and that’s more that I can ask for.Gumbo, different and not my style. I like a dark roux - theirs is light but that’s why they call it white cap gumbo. My some loved it.The view was amazing, serviced matched.Great place.

First time to try this place. My friend and I both thought it was very good. Service, atmosphere, food, and prices. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Great food and service. Had the Triple tale and scallops. Very busy after 6pm on a Friday so get there early.Update, 2 years later and we came back again, however this time was a disappointment, we got the seafood platter for $45 to split, 6 shrimp, 6 small oysters, 2 pcs fish a crab Patti (Not a cake) handful of bay scallops, with fries and pot salad, left still hungry. Very disappointed. We had more food for less 2 years ago. Should have took a pic.

Great food, huge portions, our server was super nice especially since it was getting crowded( Friday night). I had the low country boil ( they have a small one and a larger one/ I had the small). Shrimp huge and very flavorful!

As noted in other reviews the view is incredible. We were hesitant to try Cat5 out based on other reviews, but we went on a Friday night and the service was great from beginning to end. The food was great, everyone in our party of 9 agreed this was probably their favorite place we ate at all week. We would happily go again and this will be a must stop next year.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of outdoor games for the kids to keep them entertained.

Let me start off with, in the past we've eaten here yearly on vacation. This Year something has changed. We waited over 2 hours on our food ( yes it was a large party of 11) The waitress started out with we are out of baked beans, fried okra and cheese grits. This left you with choices of sides dishes potato salad, fries and coleslaw. My daughter ordered the low country boil the potatoes came out crunchy and under cooked. I ordered the bayou fries and my brother order the hamburger both came out cold. The rest of the family ordered fish they said the fish was alright. I know my family won't return next year. Just know they do not keep a full menu in stock. You will have to wait a long time on your food, food comes out cold and under cooked. Our waitress wasn't the most friendly person either. This is normally one of our favorite places to eat on vacation. Scenery is beautiful. Needless to say we are all disappointed ?.
