Hostess seating us was super nice and welcoming. Our server was outstanding! The real standout of our meal was the baked oysters. Very very good! Husband’s grouper dinner was just okay. The corn on cob was just prefrozen. The side house salad was fresh and just the right size. The gumbo was a huge disappointment. Supposedly, gumbo was shrimp and okra. But it had been cooked so long, the shrimp and okra were nonexistent. Very thick too and tasteless. Not what I’m accustomed too as the gold standard for gumbo is Pappadeaux in Houston👍🏻❤️. Our server was kind enough to to remove from bill but it was my fault as I didn’t ask enough questions about the consistency. So as an afterthought, I ordered the appetizer grilled shrimp skewer. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. We’d return just have the oysters again.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area. For a family of people who don’t really like seafood this restaurant has a verity of food that isn’t fish. The service was outstanding and the food itself was excellent.

Food that I got was great, the steak I thought was one of the best steaks I’ve gotten. A couple other people with us did not care for the chicken and that the drink were self serve but I enjoyed all of my meal

I wish I could give more stars! The food, the friendliness of the staff, the chef knows how to manage a kitchen, just everything! Thank you for a wonderful dinner tonight. Definitely recommend the ahi tuna appetizer… très magnifique!! We will be back!

I wish I could give zero stars. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and not what anyone would want for a nice dinner out. We arrived close to closing time, and while they did seat us, no one mentioned that the kitchen was about to close. We were barely greeted, and when we tried to look over the menu, we were quickly asked to order because the kitchen was closing soon. The service felt rushed and impersonal, we had to ask for plates for our appetizers, and our food was set down without much care or friendliness. Our steak was undercooked (ordered medium, served raw in the center), and once we ordered, no one checked back with us. It was uncomfortable eating while staff were stacking chairs, sweeping, and even mopping around us. Had we been told they were closing soon, we would have gladly gone somewhere else instead of feeling like an inconvenience. The whole experience felt stressful rather than enjoyable, and unfortunately, the service did not match the price point. I truly wish we had listened to the other reviews beforehand because we now realize the bad ones perfectly matched the experience.

I've been twice now in two different years. Both times were in the summer, and both times, the temp was way too hot. Foods are really good, but I don't enjoy sweating as I eat indoors.

Horrible experience. The AC was barely working, the service was absolutely horrible. This place is run by young high schoolers. My family was seated near closing time and we were rushed to order and eat. They were cleaning the whole place while we were trying to eat and staring at us. We weren’t offered water or utensils. The chefs were staring at us and pointing at my family. One of the worst places I’ve ever been.

Great spot in St Joe, very close to Mexico Beach. Worth the drive to get fresh seafood options. Cooked to Order. And lively atmosphere.

Uptown Raw Bar & Grill does not offer reservations, but we told them we had a large party coming in that night and they said they would let the manager know to expect us. However, the hostess had no idea. We had a 1.5 hour wait- so we went shopping in the cute downtown and then ended up at the nearby bar. The hostess told one of our teenagers about the self serve beverages- who didn’t pay much attention. When the waitress finally appeared to tell us they didn’t share pricing or anything about the beer cups. Our guests had the following items: oysters were good (they brought out the wrong kind but they were good. Steak was over cooked and dry. Shrimp skewers were good. Mahi mahi was dry. Potatoes were very good- but came out 20 minutes after the rest of the food. The broccoli was not well cooked.

The worst part was the place did not have proper AC. Only the tables at the front had any cool air and it was limited. The tables by the drinks were sweltering the whole time. We had two people start to feel ill and had to go sit outside to cool off. The bill was outrageous. We had no idea how much the drinks were and we did have several cans of drinks.

Overall- do not recommend.

Don't recommend this high dollar seafood restaurant. 1st of all they hand you a menu and they don't tell you the prices. 2nd the air conditioning doesn't work i don't like sweating while im eating. and its $3.00 a bottle drink .the food is very expensive. we drove from Panama City to eat there and very disappointed in everything in general. you have to keep track of what you drink. and when you check they don't give you a check. that should be the waitress job!

I have mixed emotions about this restaurant. We were handed the menus and they mumbled something that you couldn't understand. You have to pay $3.00 for your bottle drink .and obviously something is wrong with the air conditioning i definitely don't like melting when I'm trying to eat .the prices are very steep .the food is average. Not sure if we will be back in the future.
