Very good food with a laid back, fun atmosphere. Grab yourself a drink from the cooler and order up some fantastic fresh seafood!

Great second visit. Highly recommend the Grouper- tacos, sandwich or platter. Mango habanero salsa is excellent. Loved the blue crab claws appetizer.

Excellent food. Excellent price. Excellent service. Casual decor - almost a diner feel. The place was packed and a line out the door on a Thursday evening. My wife had the Low Country Boil and said it was very good. I had the steak and shrimp skewers and they were perfectly prepared. This restaurant is what all restaurants should aspire to be and do: Serve excellent meals at excellent and fair prices, with friendly and hospitable service. Thank you.

The service was excellent and accommodating. The food on the other hand was vomitous. I hadthe si called fresh caught grouper. It was dry and poorly prepared. The rice and brans were poo like. The corn was gummy and must have been sitting for days. It was crab day Tuesday. For $24.00 you received 2 sections of snow crabs. Supposedly 1lb. Normall y $32.00. Holey moley! The fries came out burnt. We requested replacement. We were charged for an extra order of fries. All in all a poor experience.

The food is healthy, fresh and delicious. It's a nice, clean space. Very modern, for better or worse, and the self-serve drink system is interesting. Overall it was a good experience. Only trouble was the table was a bit wobbly, but that's an easy fix.

I really debated where to review this place. My friend and I traveled all day to Port St Joe and were looking to pick some seafood to bring to the condo for 2 people. We stopped by and asked to place a to go order at the counter, and we were treated so disrespectfully in front of 2 large groups. We weren’t upset at all about them not doing to go order when they have a wait list and think that’s totally fine. We then asked how long the wait was because we would’ve waited and eaten there. Not missing a beat the hostess looked at us and rudely said “why? Just so you can get a table and place a big to go order?” I get it you’re busy and stressed but there was me need to be mean and treat us poorly in front of other groups. We were more than willing to sit down and order tacos, tuna dip, and eat there but we weren’t treated with kindness at all and were made to feel embarrassed to ask for a to go order. We had no clue that was the policy!

Recent visit in conjunction with a friend's birthday, we inquired of Mrs Erin Johnson (owner) about a reservation and appropriateness for a birthday gathering at her place; perhaps we expected at most, "yes, welcome." Well, not with these fine folks; she patiently guided my wife to a local bakery for the cake; the cake was their Key Lime Cake...which I'm convinced is in The Bible, somewhere. She then accepted and held the cake for us, sat us that evening perfectly, provided top notch service via her attentive servers, great food with a novel self-serve beer selection, lighted the candles, and her dear Momma (hostess) led the whole restaurant in SINGING Happy Birthday! The whole experience was exceptional and may long and healthy live the Erin Johnson family!

Food was awesome..was looking forward to stuffed shrimp but there were out..maybe next time..what we did get was awesome
We had an excellent meal; we wish we had found this spot earlier on our vacation! They have great nightly specials that we wish we had been able to take advantage of. The service was excellent in spite of them being slammed, and the food was delicious. We had an appetizer, entrees, and dessert. Drinks were self-serve from the wall refrigerators, and you keep count on a scorecard that you bring to get rung up. Ambience was perfect for us and we were seated immediately at the bar.Parking: Next door public and free lot, though we got lucky getting a spot, it wasn't huge!

Our first visit we sat at the bar with the shucker right in front of us. Excellent raw oysters and their salads are nice sized and also very good. On the other two occasions, we took our grown kids for lunch. The tuna tacos and king crab legs were hits. Even their chicken wings were tasty. Service is good. They have a refrigerated section where you can pick your beverage. Also, have serve-yourself beer on tap. Highly recommend this place.

Restaurant is not large enough to handle crowd accommodations. Food was decent. Service was lack luster. Waited too long to try to "cash out" my bill. Why wouldn't my waitress who is taking my order bring my bill, take My card and process it. Why would we wait in line between people trying to come and leave? Will not be back.

Decided to go here for crab because it had a 4 star rating. The oysters and crab were good, but everything else was a disappointment. Some food came out early and we waited quite a while for the rest to get their food. The corn on the cob was mushy and the grilled cheese my daughter had left a lot to be desired. The food was simply was not worth the cost, but people there were kind.

This was our second time eating at Uptown Raw Bar & Grill and will not be our last! We visit Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe regularly and have for years. We found this little gem by accident really and have decided this is our favorite restaurant in the area and we WILL visit each trip to the area! The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful, they make you feel very welcome like you are a regular there! The young lady behind the grill worked non-stop and prepared a LOT of food without missing a beat! She was a BOSS!!! The entire staff was very hard working and made sure all of the customers were taken care of! The food.... YUM! We sat at the bar and all the food we watched go out to other tables looked amazing. Our food was phenomenal both times we have visited. The score cards for drinks is our favorite feature! How cool it is to be able to see all of your options and help yourself without having to wait on someone to do it for you or feeling pressured to make a decision without knowing all of your options. Uptown is a small town down to Earth neighborly little place and we can't wait until we get to go back!
