We were told if we bring our scallops for them to cook it would be $25 per person and when it was time to pay the manager stated the chef set the price and it would be $35 per person
Completely unreasonable for 3 sides and tea
We will not go back sorry for the young lady who was a good waitress

Logan Taylor was our server and she made the night more wonderful than the excellent food and atmosphere. Logan’s personality was a “one of a kind” and makes my wife and I to return soon as possible.

The most delicious meal we’ve had in Port Saint Joe! We started off with drinks from the very well appointed bar. The “love you, mean it” was fizzy, sweet, and perfectly tart. We shared the starter special of chilled crab claws, wedge salad, the pork chop main, and the pear bread pudding for dessert. Each plate that came out became better and more delicious than the previous! The bacon fat blue cheese dressing on the wedge had a Smokey richness that elevated the flavor of the crisp and perfectly ripe vegetables. So unique and surprisingly delicious! Everything from the grits and Brussels sprouts to the carmelized onions on top of the pork chop worked together to make a perfect bite with every single forkful! The bread pudding at the end put this menu over the top! We sat outside so we could hear the band playing at The Haughty Heron. Shout out to Dani and The Chix, who were amazing even without their lead singer Dani who was out sick. And lastly, we had the absolutely best waitress, Logan T.! Just like every restaurant for the last few years, Keeper’s was short staffed. But Logan hustled and more than made up for it!! She energetically explained the specials and her favorite items with great detail and enthusiasm. Logan is an amazing waitress and made our evening meal top notch! As new residents to this beautiful city, we have been hitting all the local spots. We have enjoyed every single one and love that there are so many locally owned restaurants. But so far, Keeper’s is our favorite. The chef has created a unique and exceptional menu that we plan to revisit again and again! And we will ask for Logan T. every time!!

Came here our first night because we could get in with no wait. After trying some of the other locally recommended places, blown away that Keeper’s doesn’t have an hour wait at all times. Rarely do we hit a place a second time on vacation but we had to go back. It was our first and second best meals of the week. Chargrilled oysters were excellent. Crab cakes excellent. Farmers salad excellent. Blackened catch of the day (triple tail pictured) perfect. Some of the more recommended places in Port St Joe have substantially longer waits, and can’t begin to touch the flavors offered at Keeper’s from beginning to end of your meal.

Celebrated our 42nd anniversary. Eddie made it very special with flowers and a candle at our table. The service and food were outstanding! A hidden gem! Definitely worth a visit!

*Have deleted my experience and changed my recommendation to 5 stars based solely (and the fact that it is nice to have a fine dining establishment in PSJ and we all want it to succeed and grow) on the owner’s thought out and detailed response below. I appreciate the response and heartfelt explanation - no need to reimburse or offer a gift certificate. Sometimes bad days are just bad days and we look forward to dining at Keeper’s again! It is a great reminder to us all that how you handle an unfortunate circumstance counts for everything!

We were able to walk in on a busy evening at 6 o’clock, sit down and within 10 minutes, had drinks and an appetizer on the table. We ordered several meals off the menu for my party. Everything was spectacular except the lobster was overcooked.

This unassuming restaurant punches well above its weight, giving foodies a high-quality alternative to 30A wannabe's. Owned and operated by a Swiss American transplant with longstanding ties to the Panhandle, Keeper's menu, specials and wine list are curated with a deep respect for local businesses and educated palates. Dishes are
seasonal, truly fresh, and prepared by Michelin restaurant-trained talent. We have tried and loved so much from the local catches (including Triple Tail) to the perfectly prepared steak frites, luscious scallops with caviar, and standard but sublime Caesar salad. Don't expect a dress-up atmosphere, the decor is quirky, and there are still service kinks to be worked out. But don't mistake this place for anything less than one of the few fine food experiences you can enjoy between Apalach and Panama City.
