We finally made it for dinner. What a terrible disappointment, the food, the service, sigh… chose the shrimp scampi and the cheese penne, added house salads to both. The scampi wasn’t warm - the oil/butter sauce on the pasta had congealed slightly, the broccoli that was served in it was hard as a rock, inedible, unless there was some good ranch dressing to use as a dip. And the penne had a sauce that was nothing less than jarred, requested to add shrimp (instead of the chicken) and got 2 pieces, with an up charge. The side salads were nothing short of a bag of romaine from the local Piggly Wiggly split between our bowls, with large shavings of Parmesan, 2-3 croutons, and 2 olives. The balsamic dressing was good, I’ll give them that. The atmosphere overall of the place is charming, I’ll give them that as well. We did enjoy sitting on the patio, though chilly that evening, it was quaint and the low lighting was romantic - it was date night. One other note…the booth across from our table had a very large dog. We are dog lovers, no qualms there. However, a server was petting the dog healthy and then handling food. Just a note, maybe quick spray your hands with hand sanitizer or run in and wash them before handling plates of food.

Disappointed in this restaurant. We had made reservations for our large group weeks in advance. The restaurant was not prepared for our arrival and said we didn’t have a reservation. When they double checked the books, they realized we did make a reservation and hurriedly put together some tables together. They gave us 3 tables back to back for our party of 10 and we were so jammed in that it was very uncomfortable. When one person had to go to the restroom, 7 people had to stand up and exit the table to allow passage. Very awkward as many of us were meeting our lunch mates for the first time.
The servers were all over the place in terms of service and clearly do not know how to spot seat when taking orders. They had to auction off drinks and meals, thus interrupting conversation. The food was also very disappointing for many in our group. The snapper picatta had very little sauce or flavor and there were so many capers and canned artichokes that it was all we could taste. A few in our group ordered burgers and they were pitiful. They look like premade, frozen hamburger patties. The fish tacos were also not a hit for those who ordered them. The fish was way overcooked and there was no flavor at all. As a former restaurant manager, this restaurant is in trouble and needs a serious revamping of the menu, the recipes, and serious server training.

Fantastic little place in the heart of downtown Port St. Joe on Reid Avenue. Outdoor seating also available. I had the Basil Basil Bowtie pasta (the small portion). I had to get a to go box. It was a generous portion and very delicious. Husband got the Long Board Burger and said it was very good! Great menu options.

Excellent find along 98 coming home to St. George from the Panama City airport with family. We looked for a sit down place with a variety of options along our route. We were able to sit outside and the air was crisp and a bit cool (but not as cold as the AC inside). Our waitress was new but she obviously knew her stuff and made recommendations to us.
I chose the Mediterranean Chop Chop salad sans the croutons and plain balsamic vinegar rather than the vinaigrette. I also added a steak. I certainly enjoyed the grilled veggies over the cold lettuce. My husband had The St. Joe Sauté which he said was excellent. Sautéed seafood and veggies over green (spinach?) fettuccine.
The other people in our party both ordered the fettuccini Alfredo which came with chicken. One said he thought it sat under the heat lamp a little too long but agreed that the flavor was good.
The pasta dishes came with a choice of a standard or petite portion and came with crusty bread.

Wonderful recommendation from a friend. Service was timely and food outstanding presentation and taste. The St Joe Sauté had a true gulf coast flair with a hint of gumbo. The chicken piccata was prepared to perfection and the added tomatoes really enhanced the flavor and dish overall. We will be back to try what looks to be other amazing dishes!

Went to Provisions today on our last day of a wonderful vacation in the area. We were hot, tired and stressed from the morning of check-out. We were carrying around a key lime pie my sister in law made the evening prior, because we didn't want to leave it in the hot car. We went into two restaurants with really, no acknowlement or atmosphere, before entering Provisions. Right off the bat, the staff was friendly with a warm greeting. Our server was Lexie. She was beyond exceptional. She offered to put our pie up for safe keeping and she knew the menu inside out, with terrific suggestions. She went to the back and made me a lemonade, not on the menu. She had a remedy for one of our crew, who had perhaps partied a little too hard the evening before ?
Oh, and the food was delicious too- the St Joe Saute' - wonderful
We liked that the portion sizes were small and large, giving us a choice-prices very reasonable.
Lexie brought our key lime pie out with plates- we shared a piece with her and wanted to take her home with us- give that girl a raise! We will be back!!

Excellent food! Especially the sesame seared tuna and the goat cheese fondue. The bartender is great and handles Togo orders. The only problem is the place is too small and cramped, we always get our food togo. No matter what, provisions is the best food in port st joe, they have been here for a long time and it's been consistently great!
Parking: We have to drive around for 15-20 minutes before getting a parking spot. Port st joe has a serious problem with no parking spots.
Kid-friendliness: It's not kid friendly, if you have kids just get it Togo. Please!
Wheelchair accessibility: It's so small and crowded, i do not see how it could be wheel chair accessible
