Lily is an amazing person and kava tender. Super amazing and personable. Drinks were good too. My dog had such a good time he’s exhausted.

Amazing thanks for everything

I’ve been coming to Island Root for 4 years and i’ve always felt like this place is cool asf, the environment and the staff are always friendly and professional, I don’t really drink kratom but i play pool every week, shout out to my boy eric always bringing the vibe in the bar

Edit: their professional response of “good luck finding another kava bar” was very classy, so I wanted to share that if you want a Kava Bar that isn’t run by greed ex drug addicts, go to Kava Me Crazy. Better owners, better product, and better parking than most of Island Root’s locations.

Wanted to hang out with friends like I usually do at Island root. I wanted a kava my friend is allergic and wanted soda or orange juice. Because we weren’t all getting kava we got kicked out. I have a very long history with Island root as it meant a lot to me, from Bobby to Brooklyn to all the people I loved there. But after this experience I’m completely disgusted. I will be telling everyone that the newer better kava bar down the road is the one we will be going to and my followers as well.

Edit: it wasn’t about the seating if you could read, The woman kicked us out because my friend has an allergy but was still willing to buy orange juice or soda and was willing to make the tab up to $10 buying multiples. This tells me you ADMIT to it being favoritism. So noted, if bartenders have a boyfriend and a seat un-knowingly gets taken by an ACTUAL PAYING CUSTOMER we get kicked out. I see clearly now and my followers do too.

I absolutely love this place. It's so calm and relaxing. Everyone here is super kind and welcoming. It is a great place to sit back, relax, and meet some awesome people. Dogs allowed as well!
