Coming up 75 early from Naples and hoped to find a MomnPop breakfast diner. John Skis was the ticket!\n\nWaited just 10 minutes on a busy Sat morning. Immediately greeted and given coffee. Owen had the A1 steak omelet with country potatoes and rye toast. It was Huge! He could only eat half before he threw in the napkin. I had Momma Skis platter with scrambled cheesy eggs, bacon and biscuits. It came with a pancake which was the size of a medium pizza! In fact we ate it in pizza...
The food was average. Perhaps they have new cooks. Crabcakes are very different than I recall. I tasted too much vinegar. I question that. They now use dijon mustard as an ingredient. Tasted nothing like they used to make. Don't expect a good crabcake. I had ordered a spinach salad topped with a crabcake. It was not every good or tasty.
The food was good. I don’t know if it was just that day, but the kielbasa did not taste good but they replaced it with sausages and the pancake was no good. The owner actually did not let me pay for it so hopefully they up their game on the pancakes if they are reading this, that’s really all they have to do. They need to be nice and fluffy
