Mainely Seafood Cafe Reviews
Visited Mainely for the first time today, and we were so impressed! The conch fritters were small but delicious. I took a chance and ordered the hot lobster roll. Best lobster roll I've had in my life! Being from Massachusetts, I've tried my share, and they are always overpriced and underwhelming. This was reasonably priced and loaded with big chunks of lobster. My sons got the fish and chips and the grouper fingers. Fish and chips wasn't the traditional puffy New England breading,...read full review
Mainely Seafood Café
I wanted a Lobster Roll, so we had to stop by and see what this place is all about. It’s at the right end of Turtle Crossings shopping plaza on Burnt Store Road. This place was neat and clean and very well organized. It is a Café and Market everything inside is simple but fits the décor of a Seafood establishment. We got there around 12 noon and surprisingly we were the only people in the place. Our server Brianna came over to our table took our drink...read full review
Wow, what happened? We've ordered from here for years, and it has always been good. Tonight's dinner was HORRIBLE! Its been a few months since we've dined here, so I'm not sure if there was a management change or what. Everything was super greasy and dark, not crispy whatsoever. If this is new, we won't be back. You should be ashamed to even serve this nasty food.

Mainely Seafood Cafe is a casual seafood restaurant located in a quiet strip mall area, reminiscent of small New England seafood shops. The restaurant is known for its exceptional whole belly fried clams, which are difficult to find in the area. The full belly Ipswich bivalves have a very light coating and are fried quickly to keep them tender, resulting in a "clamolishious" flavor. Customers can order the clams as a meal for $24 or as an appetizer for $22, both with a half-pound of clams. The place also offers other seafood dishes such as the Grouper Fingers Meal ($16), which includes three thick, flavorful filets of grouper fried with a thin batter that allows the fish's taste to shine through. The fried shrimp plate is another popular option, featuring a generous portion of lightly breaded, crisp fried large shrimp served with good cole slaw and some of the best French fries the restaurant offers. The fries are highly praised for their crispy exterior and soft, pillowy interior.
Mainely Seafood Cafe is a market and a cafe that provides fresh food in a very casual atmosphere. The staff, especially the servers, are friendly and attentive, offering great service. The restaurant gets busy during lunch hours, so visiting later might be a good idea. The food is served hot and fresh, making it a perfect place for a quick meal. The limited selection of beer and wine includes a very good Chardonnay. The key lime pie is more like a cheesecake with a thick, buttery crust, rather than a strong lime flavor. Customers often leave satisfied and eager to return, praising the restaurant for its excellent food and welcoming environment. Overall, Mainely Seafood Cafe offers a taste of New England-style cuisine in a friendly and relaxed setting.
