First, I started off my first time trying this place on Uber eats they were having a buy one. Get one free deal a beef bowl so I bought a beef bowl. Added my toppings and boom. I would get an extra beef bowl for free.
When I received the order everything was good. The order contained a lot of goodies. It was very heavy order per container.
As I continue to order the buy one get one free deal. I know this the containers got smaller and therefore the portions got smaller and then the flavor went away and oof. The portions are small and flavorless now.
But they do have one very consistent thing, every time I ordered I've ordered rice in the rice has always been mushy. So that's the only thing that's consistent about this place.
However, the food is good but I don't know if it's $20 good

Decided to try this place again after a year or so and it's the same. I ordered a bowl didn't receive my guacamole that I paid for. Asked for pineapple salsa and got like 3 tidbits barely any chicken and didn't get the sour cream I asked for. But they are very generous on filling your bowl full of rice. I will never go order from bubbakoos again. They charge your 17$ for a bowl and side of chips but barely give you any food and you don't even get what you ask for. The chips were salty AF.

I ordered the small ground beef nachos last night through Grubhub. They were a mess. First, there were barely any chips and they were lying in the bottom of the container. As a result, they were just a bunch of mush. So it was like a bowl of toppings, which were cold when they arrived. The flavor was just okay - nothing too exciting. I ended up throwing most of it away.

Ordered a chicken burrito off of uber eats, was optimistic that there could be a new place I haven’t tried. The burrito was HUGE, but to my disappointment as I took a bite there was all rice n beans, with very little and I mean almost no chicken and pico. Complete different than the picture provided for said burrito and others on the app. There’s an obvious reason why no one is raving about this place, if you can’t even do a simple burrito properly and still charge $13+ is ludicrous.

I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM HERE!!!
When I ordered the chicken tacos, I noticed that all of the meat was dried out on the top and when I received my taco, the meat wasn’t hot at all. I received a foodborne illness from eating the meat there and when I called to complain the manager,Tim, did nothing to rectify the situation.
I have called the Hillsborough County health inspectors to schedule an inspection of this restaurant because the food there is not safe for consumption.
I can handle poor customer service, but i draw the line when it comes to food safety. Food-borne illnesses can land people in the hospital, or worse.
Unfortunate that I have to write a negative review but this impacted my health and I have a duty to speak up and warn others.

I want to begin by commending the team at Bubbakoo’s for their warm and attentive service. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction with the nacho meal—my first order—I was grateful for their prompt response. Unfortunately, the ground beef in the nachos was undercooked, showing pink inside. The staff quickly offered to remake a dish of my choice at no charge, which I deeply appreciated.
For my second order, I chose a shrimp quesadilla, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it was overly greasy and carried a burnt, charred taste, suggesting the griddle likely needed cleaning. While the team was gracious and kind, I noticed there was no immediate effort to address the griddle issue, as my husband and I lingered a while longer to observe.
Regrettably, both meals were disappointing. Despite the team’s commendable service, the food was tolerable at best, but far from delectable. I hope the restaurant will take these observations constructively and focus on improving food preparation and cleanliness to match their fair customer service. It would have been nice if there was some type of incentive offered for a future visit as a show of concern that we were leaving still hungry and unhappy. If there is a next time I believe it will be better.

Food was mid at best. Takes a long time for a to-go order delivery & was cold. Rice was not well cooked either, it seemed like leftovers and was really hard & clumped. Habachi shrimp lacked flavor. Maybe I tried it on a bad day bc my family loves it, but it was definitely not up to par.

We just had Bubbakoo’s for the first time and it was GREAT! Not only was the food delicious but the customer service was top notch. Ernest was the young man who prepared our food and he was fantastic. He made great recommendations and did everything with a smile.
