Foundation is great! It's awesome to have a local coffee shop so close to my house. What really sets Foundation apart though is the atmosphere. You can really tell that the seating area was crafted with care and attention. It's just so comfy to sit here, even on warm summer days. Do yourself a favor though, head to Foundation on one of the "chilly" winter days when it's like 65 degrees out and enjoy. It's just lovely to sip a nice coffee and enjoy a conversation in such a pleasant, comfortable setting.
The coffee and the food at Foundation never fail to be very yummy! I love the rotating specials, they've really made each visit that much more memorable. Recently in May they had some Star Wars - inspired drinks and I really enjoyed the Light Side Latte. There were also previously a peanut butter pie latte and a coconut creme pie latte that were both amazing. The specials are always a standout treat!
Food is also quite good, even given the limited available cooking space. Today actually I had a breakfast bagel and it was quite good. The Tampa Cuban and breakfast croissant are also standouts.
I've always received great service from the staff at Foundation. Lately I've been visiting at least once a week and have seen Brooke and Elizabeth there basically every time. They are super nice and personable and it's always great seeing them here!
I'd recommend Foundation to anyone in Riverview looking for a nice place to just go hangout, maybe get a little work done, or just enjoy the outside. It's hard to find comfortable places to do so in Florida due to the heat, but Foundation always offers a nice environment to do so.

I sat in the drive thru line without being serviced for over 10 mins. Arrived at the coffee shop at 10:52.. it is now 11:07 (still have not been greeted/serviced at the window) there are now about 3 other vehicles behind me in line… this is ridiculous and counter productive. No need for a drive thru line in you do not have workers to support. This is poor customer service.
*just serviced at 11:11* poor worker was very apologetic (not her fault by any means) she let me know that they are understaffed and with the sweltering heat today they will need to close drive thru. I hope this truck gets the support they need because I love their coffee!

Really cute coffee spot with lots of outdoor seating, shade, and super friendly staff. Got the breakfast croissant that was toasted/slightly pressed with egg, bacon, spinach, and garlic aioli! And a coconut, brown sugar latte per the barista’s recommendation. I told her I normally drink black coffee but wanted to venture out today and it was delicious. Really cute little escape with the outdoor environment for a quiet morning coffee to myself! They said they’re looking into adding some kid friendly drinks for the summer too! Really great food, coffee, service, and atmosphere.

Breakfast sandwiches have such fluffy delicious eggs so worth it. They make an excellent cup of coffee.
My husband and I absolutely love this place. Great environment, always friendly staff, and the drinks are always delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the coconut honey latte was. We always get some kind of latte and a breakfast croissant and it never disappoints.The peacefulness of sitting outside is nice and the road is far enough away that it never hinders your ability to chat with a friend. The trees keep it relatively cool even on hot days.Elizabeth and Madi were a delight to speak wtih! Great service.
Parking: Gravel parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: I love that it is outside so kids can be free to be themselves. It is near a road with no fence, so you will still need to keep them near.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible except for the counter to order.

They have a very very sad "tampa cuban" on the menu. It had hardly any meat whatsoever. I honestly feel robbed because it was $13. They need to either add meat or lower the price. I wouldnt go back again.
