I used to come here 3 times a week when I was in the area. To this day my husband and I still talk about this place and the broths’ distinct deep flavor. Had a chance to eat there today and it still lives up to its memory

The foods here are absolutely delicious, true authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Everything full of season, nothing bland, very aromatic. Staffs are very friendly and respectful, very attentive. 1000% recommended

Before I begin I would like to say that the service was excellent and none of my issues stemmed from how staff treated me. Alright so, I got a chicken pho, spring rolls, and a strawberry smoothie. The strawberry smoothie was pretty good, it consisted mainly of what I assume blended frozen strawberries which I prefer to the usual overly saturated sugary and artificially flavored smoothies you get in other establishments. I was not a big fan of the spring rolls, they were way too dry for my taste even with the sauce they come with. It felt like the rolls were sitting out for a while; they didn’t taste fresh, I would probably prefer the egg rolls more. The chicken pho broth had a strange taste but this might be due to the specific broth or ingredients they use. It wasn’t too unpleasant that I couldn’t eat the pho but just keep that in mind when ordering that it might not be to your taste. My main problem stemmed from some of the chicken being a bit spongy and even one piece had to be removed completely because it was basically undercooked. This experience made me question the entire dish thinking that I might get sick from the undercooked chicken. Overall I had a pretty mild first impression of this place and would prefer other restaurants in the future. If I do come here again I would make sure to avoid the pho and spring rolls.

This Vietnamese restaurant is the best in South Tampa, Riverview, and Brandon.
We love eating out, and we have to have a great meal when we travel.

We ate here a week after Independence Day in 2025. The place looked clean and super sanitary. The staff was nice, friendly, and polite. You can see the kitchen, which makes you feel safe. The lady owner actually works here, and that alone gave us the confidence that every dish is made its best.

Both of our dishes, Cơm sườn bì chả trứng and Bún thịt nướng, were awesome and super authentic. We know because my lady is a great Vietnamese cook, and we go to Vietnam for their amazing food.

We'll keep trying other Vietnamese/Asian food around here, but we could totally see ourselves eating here with our friends.

We used to visit Pho Loc Tho (11262 Boyette Rd, Riverview, FL) regularly. But suddenly, everything changed. One of the waitresses didn’t even let us enter, telling us, “It’s take-out only,” even though it was only 2:30 PM (they close at 8 PM) and there were people sitting inside eating, with several empty tables still available.

Then, we were told straight to our faces: “If you don’t leave a tip, we don’t want to serve you.” I was shocked — I thought, but we always tip when we come here. What do they expect? Over $15 in tips to treat us like human beings?

We were stunned. I felt deeply humiliated, ashamed, and honestly discriminated against. I still don’t know if it was because of the tip, how we looked (even though we were dressed nicely and came with a positive attitude), or just flat-out prejudice.

Yes, the food may be good — but that kind of treatment destroys any sense of trust or respect. This is not customer service — it’s emotional extortion, plain and simple. And it feels disgusting.

I truly hope they reconsider this behavior and learn how to treat people with basic human decency — without demanding a mandatory minimum tip just to be acknowledged or allowed to dine in.
