This Starbucks in Riverview, FL was literally overwhelmed on a recent Saturday morning 10am to 12noon with lines of customers inside, each waiting 10 to 15 minutes to pick up to-go beverages. Constant lines of cars outside kept most of staff too busy taking & filling the drive-thru orders to handle the walk in-sit down customers who stood in another but shorter line to order. Once my orders were taken, it was a 15-minute or longer wait. However, the breakfast food was very yummy, as were our coffee beverages.

On a side note, as a Starbucks customer for almost 30 years in Atlanta and Tampa/St Pete, I've got to say I HATE the "new" store interior layouts. Their feel is very cold, unwelcoming with hard school chairs, sterile tile floors, and dull gray walls. The a/c so chilly no one wants to linger longer than absolutely necessary. Zero ambiance, to put it politely.

But does anyone at Starbucks corporate remember the warmth & hospitality of Caribou Coffee shops? Omg, it was the ideal coffee shop....I wanted to go there about every day. Today the "newish" Starbucks store design is so utilitarian I literally don't want to go to one, unless I must meet a friend there for a coffee (which is still very good).

there was one person there working the window that carried the whole store’s atmosphere! he was kind, upbeat, held conversation and did his job! even told us he and his gf were making pizzas that night for thanksgiving lol amazing job!

I guess even this Starbucks standards have been lowered...drink 3/4 of the way full for almost $8. Unacceptable really. We'll need to start checking drinks before driving off. Smh.

Customer service could be better. The wait time for them to process an order was endless. I placed an mobile order prior to my arrival of 10 mintues according to what the app mentioned, unfortunately i had to still wait another 20 mintues for my drink to be ready- 🙄

EVERYTIME I go here I have to specify light ice. I’m not paying $7 for Ice. I’m paying for an actual drink. If I say light ice, that’s what I mean. Half the cup is not light ice.. Then to be rude about it because I ask for a remake is absurd.

I’ve been getting coffee + breakfast before work here often over the last few years and now that I’m moving from the area, I have to leave a review & mention how much I’ll miss this location! The whole team here is just fantastic, and Viv and Brooke in particular helped me out with an ordering issue recently (it was my fault, and they helped out so generously!). I order two drinks and they tasted totally different from the other Starbucks that I usually go to. I asked for it to be remade and it still didn’t taste right/tasted like how it was made the first time. Now that I’m looking at the reviews, I know I’m not the only one that feels this way.
