Several times I have ordered an upside down hazelnut espresso venti. Only once I have they gotten it right. I watch and they make it the same as a shaken espresso drink. So disappointing, please train the team to make it or remove from menu.

Amazing service, my drink was made as instructed and made very quick, the drive-thru was long and that did not stop the workers from quickly finishing my order. Amazing!

I went to this location today and saw several issues with the place. Me and my friend came in to two workers cleaning out the trash bins with trash laying all over the floor and liquids spilling out, there was no warning signs stating that the floor was wet. Second, I was sitting at the table with my friend and the chair collapsed on me scratching me on my leg. When I informed the barista, she replied to me “oh don’t worry you’re ok, the chairs are new.” She didn’t bother to ask me if I was ok, I could have been hurt beyond the scratch, this is common decency and she didn’t apologize to me for the incident. Extremely disappointed.

Normally, I don’t get the chance to dine-in at an Starbucks, but being on maternity leave, I’ve been able to dine-in at two different locations this week. This location is a newer build, so I decided to check it out. I ordered some egg bites and the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai (delicious by the way).

During my visit, I nursed my newborn son. I didn’t think anything of it as this is my 2nd child and in the last 3 years of my breastfeeding journey, I have NEVER had any issues with breastfeeding in public spaces. However, today, a Starbucks employee walked over to me and asked if I had a blanket to cover up what I was doing. I was taken aback as I already do cover my breast when nursing in public. I asked if anyone had complained and she said it was bothering the “partners” (later I found that’s what they call their employees). I told her no that I wouldn’t cover my son’s head/face and she repeated her question saying that they can’t have any skin showing. This comment didn’t make sense to me, and since I already cover my breast, I didn’t understand why I was being asked to cover up more; so to get her to leave me alone, I grabbed a burp rag and put it on top of my shirt covering my breast. I was embarrassed at the scene she was unnecessarily causing, so I appeased her, but this experience truly upset me. Being Florida, it’s hot and I was wearing a tank top. No one had any issues with my cleavage showing beforehand; it wasn’t until I was feeding my child that suddenly they took issue. As much as I like Starbucks, I’m extremely disappointed with this whole situation.

Side note: As I mentioned in the beginning, I had the opportunity to dine-in at 2 locations this week, I nursed my son at the other location as well and had no complaints or anyone asking me to cover up. If I can help it, I will likely not go to the Gibsonton Dr location again.

Usually stop at the Starbucks closer to my place, but this one is on the way to work too. I forgot how unpleasant the morning shift order taker and drive thru lady is. Went a second time this week and remembered why I won’t stop here again. They’re not personable people, and they certainly don’t belong in a Starbucks.
