If you have not tried this sushi place before you really must give it a shot. The spicy garlic edamame is absolutely fantastic and I would come back for that alone but the coral reef roll was also very good so I will be ordering that again as well. I look forward to trying more things on their menu as well. The service by Tong was excellent and the atmosphere is quaint and quiet which I really appreciated.

Impromptu dinner, seated right away. Menu with lots of intriguing specialty rolls. My "fire mountain" roll was piled high with salmon/tuna/escolar. Fish quality was fine but not primo, the pieces were chopped quite finely and the escolar was less buttery than I'm used to. My wife's yaki udon was nice and savory. Big portions, reasonable prices. Bonus points for being baby friendly; they had a kid's show on TV and a high chair for our little one. All in all a good experience and I would come back if we lived closer.

Food is quite good. I tried a lot of items, but the rocking roll was my favorite. 2 stars because of a weird customer service situation I encountered. I made a pretty hefty pickup order. As the lady who was ringing me up handed me my receipt. she quickly ordered me to sign it which I did. However, upon further inspection of the receipt, I realize that I actually have to fill in the 'tip' and write in the 'total' amounts by hand, as opposed to simply signing the receipt and leaving those areas blank. This is pretty standard practice for anybody who has ever handle money, because those areas of the business' copy of the receipt can be filled by anybody to alter the total amount that is charged to your credit card. When I kindly asked the lady ringing me up to hand me back the receipt so I can make sure it was filled in properly, she had a very sarcastic and offensive reaction. Long story short, she basically kept repeating in a very sarcastic and pedantic tone 'don't worry, don't worry, we're not going to steal your money, take a picture of the receipt if you want to'. Those were not her exact words, but that was essentially what she was communicating to me when she sarcastically asked me to take a picture of the check if I wanted to, I realized that this was a complete overreaction to a very simple and reasonable request by customer. I was completely shocked because I didn't (and still don't) understand why she took it so personally that I wanted to make sure my receipt, paid with my credit card and coming from my bank account, was filled out correctly. I wouldn't trust a business who questions why the customer wants to review their receipt for accuracy. I'm hoping this is just a one time thing and not a pattern for this restaurant. It definitely soured my experience as a first time customer, despite the good food.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the Tampa Bay Area. This is a place that truly feels like home, from the people to the ambiance. From the moment you walk in, you are taken care of and I can't speak highly enough of their service! My go to roll is the orgasm roll (shrimp tempura, krabmeat, avocado, and salmon baked with spicy mayo) and the Spicy Yellowtail Usuzu Kuri. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The food is always amazingly delicious! Tong is the sweetest person I have met. When you ask for suggestions she tells you what hers are and what customer favorites are. The place is very peaceful even when it is busy. No loud music blaring or shouting over the music.
