Came here for dinner on a Thursday. For under $18 (cash — it costs slightly more with credit card), I got:
- Fried swai
- 3 small sides (cornbread, green beans, corn on the cob)
- 1 large side (yellow rice with gravy)
- 1 slice sweet potato pie

This was very filling and there were leftovers! My favorite was the sweet potato pie and the fried fish — perfectly fried and seasoned! The space had indoor seating for up to 10 people, but all the food is packed to-go anyway. The two ladies running the restaurant were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

The food is decent. The ladies that usually manage the front are pleasant and welcoming. However, my only complaint is the man. Honestly he should always work in the back because he is not welcoming or friendly. He does not greet you or thank you! After my last experience with him this past Saturday- I will never go back!

I wish we had had time for more meals. We stopped in for breakfast, and I had food that brought me all the way back to my childhood (thats a long ways back). Great people, amazing food and great prices.

Reminds me of Prichards, but better. Great chicken soup aka "souse". Get a gallon! Catfish bites, holy shit, get a box! Greens are money

I luv the place. Everyone is very pleasant and welcoming. The food is great. If it wasn't for me trying to lose this weight I'd eat there more?

First time ever ordering from this place, and when I get there I wasn't greeted but the person after me was greeted and helped before me. So overall the experience was poor especially my first time being there. Ultimately I had to cancel my order because of the inconvenience and I will never return to this establishment with this poor customer service.

This is the spot y’all. Every time we had baseball games we would come here after and get spoiled with this cooking. Pound cake is legendary. Great energy.

We were looking for a soul food restaurant on our way home from Miami and google led us to MeMa’s Kitchen. The reviews were good, so we stopped by. The place is very small and quaint and seemed to be pretty clean. We would have eaten there, but it was very warm inside, so we took it to go. The young lady who took our order was pleasant , and seemed to know most of the patrons by name, which is a good thing.

For my meal, I had the smothered pork chops, white rice and field peas. It was phenomenal! I also had a side of potato salad, which I didn’t care for at all. My boyfriend had the turkey wings, white rice, Mac and cheese, and field peas. He said that his was delicious as well. The food came out fast, was piping hot, and the portions were generous!

We had the banana pudding and classic pound cake, as well. Both desserts tasted pretty good, but I’m not sure about the texture of the banana pudding. I will probably try a different dessert on our next visit.

We will definitely make this one of our stops either on our way to or from Miami when we visit our son at the University in the near future. We were very pleasantly surprised!!!

Parking: Small parking lot.
