Chelas Mexican Food & Bar

I arrived Sunday night to give them another chance, because I don't like the service. The same thing again, but the food is worse than ever. From the beginning I told the person who served me that we eat spicy and I wanted a lot of red sauce. An order of 5 tacos and another of huaraches and they give me a miniature red sauce (I have never seen such small containers) and another green one. When I told him I wanted more, he pouted and said that's what they gave. So I told him I eat them here and I put sauce here and so, with a bad face he brought me more sauce. Still not enough for all that food. They lose customers for a 5 cent sauce. And apparently many don't have them. Expensive, ugly and bad attitude. Go somewhere better.

Went in at 8pm on Taco Tuesday 🌮 to find that the place was empty! I instantly thought man these tacos are not going to be good. But man was I wrong! It was some of the best Tacos I’ve ever had. I had 2 Pollo and 2 Carne Asada.

Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

I liked it a lot!
I had some quesadillas, although I don't like quesadilla with rice and beans, but next time I will tell my waitress about my taste in quesadillas. So there I'll see if I add the one that's missing ⭐ 😃💫, thank you for your attention

Wife ordered their fried shrimp. It was the flat shrimp you buy in the frozen food at Publix. My food was plain and cold. Considering we were the only table in the place on a Friday night, not good. The service was terrible, after waiting 15+ minutes for the bill I had to go to the bar to pay. I’ve eaten there before but it’s gone downhill.

Food is delicious and fairly priced compared to the portions.
They have a full bar, some days karaoke.
One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been too.

Went in on a Thursday at 7 pm and not a soul in sight. Maybe that should have been the first clue to leave. Ordered fajita trio and enchilada. The meat in the fajita tasted like freezer burn, it was dry and had a weird after taste. The shrimp was definitely not fresh, tasted reheated. The enchilada was okay. The waitress was nice and attentive so we still tipped because the bad food is not her fault. Would not be coming back.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! 1st time there and won’t be going back!!

Took the family to eat and ordered Jalapeño poppers, Michelada, kids tacos, kids cheese burger, a Churrasco, and 3 tacos.

THE FOOD PLATED WAS NOT WORTH ANYWHERE NEAR $95!!

Save your money and go somewhere else. Poppers were greasy and damn near inedible, cheeseburger undercooked and seasoned, waitress messed up the order on top of that and we were the only customers in the place.

Around $15 dollars to be completely stuffed is always a win. The salsa verde was more mild the last time but the spicy was not overwhelming. Also the chips and salsa which I expected to be expensive was reasonably priced. I will say this is an authentic Mexican restaurant, the palette will not be adjusted. Which I love ?

Very nice restaurant!! Great service!! We had torta and birria tacos both of them were amazing!!! The birria tacos tasted same as eating street food barbacoa tacos over at Mexico ?? definitely come back again!!! Don’t get me started with the michelladas !! Best ones i ever had

I was waiting there for 15 minutes and no one said hi. No one acknowledged me. It’s like I wasn’t even there so I walked out and went to Taco Bell to get better service. Don’t ignore your customers.
