“The food was great. I am a frequent customer. I would have loved the give 5 stars but unfortunately the customer service was poor. I left my eyeglasses there and when I noticed I immediately called back and spoke with the owner the next morning to ask if anyone turned them in and if not, could they review their camera. She wasn't willing to help, and she offered many excuses. She had a nonchalant attitude. Why have a camera system if they are refusing to check it when needed. After numerous requests from me insisting she follow up; finally, she took my name but still I have not heard back from her or anyone else at this establishment. It's sad they treat a loyal customer this way. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!“

“I was in Ruskin for 3 nights and got tacos from here 3 times. Very delicious and they were open til 10pm most nights. I also had the pleasure of meeting a woman named Maria in that same driveway in the morning who was selling tamales and champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate) out of the back of her car. Please go check her out. I had her tamales twice!“

“Not only are they quick at serving tacos by having the tortillas warm already and the meat cooked ready to go, but the tacos are perfect. Being over an hour drive for me, I still had to stop because of their name. Guanajuato is the same area my parents grew up in, and the taste is exactly like home. You cannot get more authentic than this. Definitely stopping by again on my trips to the Skyway.“

“Ruskin has an amazing food truck scene. Rotating trucks, semi stationary, it is awesome if you did not know. This man's truck came in clutch a few nights, it is one of the ones that stays open later than others. Tacos were so good it was the only thing I got Everytime.“

“S&S is awesome and I genuinely feel bad for you if you don’t feel the same way. Now don’t get me wrong; this place is NOT fancy. They only have beef, beans, and rice, so in essence their tacos are only beef. Now these are your classic white people tacos, the kind your mom used to make when you were a kid, but they are great. Have lived in the area nearly a decade and probably go once a month on average.

Also, I love how some of the negative reviews say they didn’t even eat the food. So someone has the audacity to give the food a rating of 1 and say the place needs to be shut down, but they didn’t even try the food. Lol, what a tool.“

“It was okay. I really enjoyed the mangonada! Service was super friendly, but the tacos were just okay. Even with all the trimmings. 2.50 for each Taco.

I was hoping they would be juicier and have more flavor. These satisfied a hunger craving, but it's not enough to make me come back.

The atmosphere would have been better if they had control of the flies. Again...I'm not opposed to being outside eating, but there were so many flies because of the trash cans being close to the truck.

Parking: Parking lot is shared with the motel next to it.“

“I've traveled all over Florida and Marifer's is THE BEST. Sometimes I eat here twice in a weekend...it's that good. I recommend their Carnitas, Pastor and Elote. There are a lot of taco trucks in Gibsonton these days but Marifer's has been here for years.“

“Best asada and pastor tacos I’ve had in a long time ! Literally the best I’ve found in Florida and I’m hard to impress as I travel to Texas regularly and have access to awesome Mexican food. You do have to wait but it’s well worth it and everything was so hot and flavorful ! Will be returning !! My new fav spot ! 10/10 recommend ? ps the store has lots of good stuff too we went and shopped for goodies and ice cream while we waited for food to be done“

“We really enjoy Trivia Night. However, service is poor. We visit every Wednesday with our family. This past week was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I was alone for a bit this week and had my laptop and books spread out on the table. It was impossible not to notice my setup. The waitress had one other table and it was right next to me. I waited over 30 minutes before going inside and ordering a drink. She said she didn’t see me. We made eye contact multiple times. I’m sure she probably thought the big party was a big tip. However, the rest of my family was joining me. We tip well, so definitely her loss.“
