It's a beautiful restaurant with attentive staff. The food was decent but we hoped for better flavors. Tom Yum was the best from our order. We also had seaweed salad, yellowtail & jalapeño, spicy scallop (only tasted tempura crunch), spider roll (tasted good), scallop pad thai (not bad but nothing spectacular).

Great sushi and sashimi especially the lunch specials as well as many delicious Thai dishes. Recommend the Sushi and Sashimi lunch special (pictured below) and ikura (salmon roe) sushi.

We ordered takeout from Green Papaya, and while I didn’t dine in, the atmosphere inside looked very cute and welcoming when I went to pick up the food. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated.
I tried the Pad Thai and was a little underwhelmed—it didn’t have the usual bold peanut flavor I was expecting, the noodles were clumped together, and there were large chunks of egg with not a ton of meat, especially for the price. It wasn’t terrible, just not the best Pad Thai I’ve had.
Overall, the experience was okay. I’d be open to trying other dishes in the future, and the dine-in vibe might offer a different experience.

The least satisfactory Thai cuisine I have ever encountered.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff was fantastic. The food was good but I thought it left something to be desired for the price.

I have been a fan of green papaya since they opened on the northside. I was happy when they began to expand- But now I find myself disappointed. I am not sure if as part of the franchising they are giving license to the individual restaurants- but the food at the 210 location has recently become barely palatable. The calamari puffs are no longer puffs and are a bland, flavorless tempura that I was hoping was a one time adjustment- but has replaced one of the best calamari preparations I had previously tasted. The sea bass which also has been a favorite - is now over cooked, bland and tiny piece of fish at increased cost. The egg rolls tasted like they had been microwaved out of the freezer. I hope this is not the new way they are preparing food at every location- if so then I will need to abandon the entire Brand- I only write this after my third visit of failed satisfaction. I thought it may have been a fluke- but now the food is consistently subpar. If its just a new chef at the restaurant--- then they need to rediscover the old recipes. --- because right now--- this is not acceptable--
The food here is amazing and my family loves coming here for special occasions or whenever we want something good. The workers were very kind and patient with us whenever we go. The sashimi seems to be very fresh and my brother absolutely loves the rolls there. The restaurant itself looks very nice. I personally love the drunken noodles; I highly recommend it. The way the food is plated is very creative and makes me happy to look at (great if you like taking food photos). Definitely will be back again

I ordered Take-out Thai food and got a variety of dishes ranging from Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, few appetizers and a Curry. I gotta say I was excited to find the depth of flavor and quality of food to be far above the average fare you get in JAX. This is the second Quality Thai place we have found since we moved here. The first one is in Mandarin which is a bit of a schlep for us, so I'm very glad we have Green Papaya so close by. I look forward to trying more dishes there soon!

Not so great customer service
My experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. The service was not only unprofessional but also openly hostile, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The quality of the food left much to be desired—while some dishes were mediocre at best, others were poorly prepared, lacking flavor and attention to detail. The food tasted like something you can get in the freezer section and microwave, not fresh at all. Unfortunately, the management’s attitude reflected a similar lack of care, coming across as rude and unaccommodating. Overall, the environment was far from pleasant. If it were possible to rate this experience with zero stars, I would not hesitate to do so.

Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this resteraunt. Respect yourself and don’t go here.
My girlfriend and I went with a great energy and really wanted to have a great time. Our server was rude and hostile towards us from the beginning. Regardless we looked past it in the hopes of enjoying the food.
However, when the food arrived we were left with even greater disappointment. I politely called our waiter over to inform him that we were not satisfied with one of the meals and that I’d like to send it back to order something else. Instead of empathizing with us and offering an apology, he immediately gave us a negative attitude and told us that our reasoning does not suffice for the meal to be sent back.
I requested to speak to the manager. I expected certain leadership qualities out of her. But most importantly I really just wanted an apology for the service and the poor quality of food. However it seemed that was far too much to ask. The manager had advised that is how their food is and there is nothing they could do about it.
I gladly paid the bill because it was never about the money. I came to the resteraunt to spend money anyways. But I didn’t come to the resteraunt to be treated in a hostile manner and eat bad quality food.
All in all…I will never again step foot into Green Papaya, in any of their locations. And honestly you shouldn’t either.

Had a great experience at Green Papaya, and Travis behind the bar really made it memorable. He was super friendly, knew his drinks, and just added to the great vibe of the place. The food was amazing super flavorful, perfect for a laid-back night out. If you’re looking for good food and great drinks, definitely check it out and ask for Travis!
