I’m so confused why we have a 4.1 rating 😒 The other Italian places in St. John’s are overpriced and their food is terrible. Do yourself a favor, come here. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are super friendly, plus you get live piano on the weekends- what?!

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday. Everything was perfect from the hostess to our server Marcelino. The food was wonderful. I love how everything is made fresh from the family and the drinks were great! I will always come here then to a chain Italian restaurant. I will be back to try more food. Thank you for providing excellent service for my Sisters birthday ❤️

My favorite local restaurant! Great for a fancy date night, a casual hangout or a quick stop on your way home!
Everything is made in house with Italian imported ingredients by the Bernardone Family! The pasta, bread, meatballs, sausage, all their desserts, even their salad dressings!! (Highly recommend trying their Blue Cheese Vinaigrette!)
I usually try something new, but my favorite dishes so far: Trumba Rustica, Grouper with gnocchi, Lasagna, Spinach Ravioli, Frutti di mare, and ofc always have to get the calamari or Proscuitto wrapped shrimp for starters!
I can't say enough about the atmosphere and the service! This restaurant takes you to a place outside the states, into the heart of Italy! The decoration of the floors, the walls, the bar top, even the restrooms are gorgeous! The staff that I've met are some of the sweetest people, most of them being family, its not hard to tell that they really care about their customers and make you feel like family!
Having THE BEST Italian food, a beautiful dining area (And Bar), amazing service by an amazing family, and an experience you wont find at a typical restaurant; You need to make this place a frequent stop!

My first experience with this restaurant did not disappoint. I came last night for the first time with my family, and tried multiple dishes that were all equally delicious! We also tried some of their crafted cocktails, outstanding! The cucumber and basil martini were our favorite! The service was also excellent! You could tell everyone was doing their best in making sure the guests were taken care of and felt welcomed as we did. We can’t wait to return to try more!

I hate to say that I was really disappointed with this place. I had driven past it many of times and always wanted to try it. I love Italian food.
The service was pretty bare minimum. They smiled, they took our orders, nothing flashy. We had to request to hear the specials. The service throughout the night was relatively slow and far between.
I ordered the Tromba Rustica. The sauce was unimpressive, I was expecting a lot more flavor from it. It comes with chicken and shrimp cooked into the pasta and sauce. The chicken was cut into non-uniform cubes and was hard and dry. The sauce wasn’t properly emulsified and was half grease. I ended up sending it back and requesting a lasagna instead. The lasagna…. Also unimpressive but significantly better than the Tromba. Our waitress was very sweet about it and replaced it quickly.
My partner ordered one of the specials, Parmesan crusted grouper served with gnocchi and a lemon cream sauce. I will say, it was delicious. The sauce was light and fresh and the fish was cooked well. We both ate it while I waited to send back my original entree.
I don’t plan on returning unfortunately.

I come from an area on the north east coast New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and surrounding areas with fabulous Italian food.
Myself and some family members here in St. John’s were wishing and hoping for a place that really knew what they were doing.
Bernardone , A really beautiful family run business. Everyone in the family is a part of this. ..They really stepped up to the plate with specials , we had , salmon dinners , a really nice vegetable that went with it. We also had some homemade fettuccine noodles,
( A LOT OF WORK Goes into homemade pasta if you’ve never done it! )
The only request I would have is maybe to have them a little bit more less al dente. I know they’re fresh. They were delicious,
I had some really nice , pinot Grigio from Italy it was perfect. So many restaurants in the area here and I’ve been to many don’t know how to pick wine.. We will go back again and again we highly suggest it.!!! You can also just get an appetizer and some wine and a salad or they have a variety of choices on pizza.. All I can say is Manja Manja I’ll be back! Tina Catanzaro & family ❤️ps they also have homemade desserts, and we tried the cannoli. It was out of this world.!! Trust me when I tell you, I know the difference! this restaurant should be getting five stars anyone who’s criticized it they don’t know what they’re talking about..

Wonderful find!!! Lived in Italy for over a decade, and I have now found my italian trattoria in Jax. Ingredients are the real thing, which makes the difference with italian cooking! Had the lasagna which was exquisite, made with homemade pasta. All pasta is made in house! Loved the family vibe too, everything was definitely done with love. Was sold with the service, food, and ambiance, but when the owner’s daughter played the Steinway, I knew I was home. If you are looking for something more than the typical chain experience, this is your place!!!

Walked into this place by accident and I was blown away with the flavor, atmosphere overall care that Claire took. We ordered lasagna, calamari a side salad and the key lime mascarpone cheese cake. We arrived at 9 pm ironically they were closed and still allowed us to order food and drinks no rush just a genuine experience. The food was fire 10/10 everything fresh!!!!!! Great date night option.

June 2025 - Pistachio Martini was absolutely delicious! Also ordered limoncello and it was thick, but delish to sip on while waiting for appetizers.
Food was impeccable and am definitely coming back here! I always bring leftovers home, but the food was soo good and perfect portions. I wasn't even starving coming here.
atmosphere was fantastic. seating around the place is intimate and good for various occasions.
