Food was good. Atmosphere was good overall experience good when you’re in town for a few days you want to try a few things so this is definitely a must try.

If you're looking for the best blackened grouper sandwich,served hot and fresh by a happy server named Chelsea,go no further. I was so delighted to see the size of the onion rings ..as well as the size of the blackened grouper..I really wished I had a bigger stomach to eat the Key Lime Pie.NextTime!!

So long since we have been able to come here. The grouper bites and grouper sandwich were perfect. They were very busy when we arrived. Timed it perfect and only waited 15 minutes for an inside table. Our waitress never missed a beat as she served several tables. The entire wait staff was like a well oiled machine. Whisking dishes off the table as they went by. The key lime pie with it’s chocolate crumb crust was a perfect finish. We love this place!

Okay... short and sweet... Chicken Tenders Buffalo Style, side of Waffle Fries, Grouper Bites, Side Salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing, (2) waters with lemon. Day at the beach with my son, and Dockside Dave's is his favorite spot. The food was delicious, hot when it arrived at the table. Not sure about the $1 uncharge for bleu cheese dressing since there was not one single piece of bleu cheese in the cup. Dressing, yes... bits of bleu cheese, no. Pretty sure I was charged incorrectly. No matter how I added it up, it did not equal 41.00. Unless, the Grouper Bites were $23, which I doubt. Could not find the server to question it, and we were in a hurry. Chalked it up to a handsome tip for the server. Food was great! Watch your checks closely.

Dockside Daves had a Triggerfish special which I got a sandwich lightly blackened. It was a nice portion of fish for $16. You can add a side to your sandwich for $2.50. The waffle fries were done just right. We also got a pitcher of Sangria for $16, very enjoyable night out on the patio.

We had heard from a local that Dockside Dave's had THE BEST grouper sandwich in the area. We were disappointed with the sandwich and nuggets....not much flavor and a thin filet on the sandwich. One of us had a grilled grouper filet and she really enjoyed it. The waffle fries were fine but nothing to brag about. We would highly recommend Guppy's. It was soooo much better in every way. Also the bathrooms at DDave's were terrible and the inside eating area had an unpleasant odor. We will not go back.

I have been stopping at Dockside Dave’s for about 6 years . The grouper is by far the best you can get. I have eaten others grouper from Bradenton to Clearwater and the others are only fair compared to DD. Service is always great and they always make us feel welcome! Enjoy!!!

This is our 3rd visit to Dockside Daves, and you just flip a coin to see if the food is going to be good or not. My wife just loved her dinner, but my Grouper was very salty. When I informed the waitress I was told they sometimes put too much special seasoning on the Grouper. She said she could get me another one if I wanted, but I was not interested in another one. Next time no Grouper for me at this place.
Excellent food, small place but delicious. Only issue I had was EXTREMELY LOUD abnoxious people. Great meal & service, just get a handle on the local drunks .

We were staying a few blocks away from Dockside Daves and went there our first night. The scallops were divine (and still nice the next day) as was the shrimp dinner. IPA's on tap. We were sated. This was our first post vaccination dinner indoors and it was a very pleasant flashback to the good old days. The place has a good vibe. There was lots of outside dining but we were trying to stay out of the sun.
