Called to check wait time for 2 and the person who answered the phone stated there was absolutely no wait. Arrived 10 minutes later and told at the door there was a 15 minute wait. Decided to stay and ended up waiting 25 minutes for a table. Got to the table and ordered our drinks. The waitress Carlene then came to take our order. Didn’t introduce herself or ask if we needed more time or had questions. Just simply “what can I get you?” Luckily we knew what we wanted and she just said ok and walked away. 15-20 minutes later she brings our food out without saying a word. Comes back 2 minutes later to drop off ketchup and hot sauce we didn’t ask for and didn’t say a word. The food was delicious and we had no issues that way, but not once even after passing our table to attend to a couple other tables did she ask us if we were doing good or needed anything. We clocked her walking by our table over 30 times during our meal without a peep. The only issue with the meal was we weren’t given the options of bread. There were about 3 different selections on the plate, one of them being rye which I hate. Finally she came to grab our plates not asking if we were done, lays the check down, and says I’ll get this when you’re ready then runs right off with the plates. She grabs the check, processes the payment, and lays the receipt on the table. Not so much as a “did you enjoy your meal” or any form of typical customer service jargon. As mentioned the food was very good, but we will not be returning based only on the experience we had. Get better staff!

Going to the frog pond has become a little tradition for us when we're in the St. Pete area. Their portions are huge!!! So make sure you are nice and hungry. I always get the spinach and mushroom with cheese omelette and it comes LOADED with lots of fresh spinach!

Ate here for the first time and it was great. My husband has the cinnamon roll French toast and I had the monte cristo crepes. Mine cane with sliced tomato’s (my choice) and fresh fruit. The only down was my grapes were mushy, which I’m sure they would have brought new ones if I had said something. It wasn’t that bid a deal. Service was exceptional !!

I love diner food. I love the diner experience. Plentiful plates of piping hot and good food that are not overpriced. Service and attention without the fluff. Frog Pond is great at that.
It's a little bit hard to spot from the road because it's large overhanging patio. But it is on the corner Gulf Blvd and Corey Ave, right at the traffic light. Plenty of parking on the side of the building. I think there was maybe two tables out front if you prefer to eat outside.
As the name suggests, there are frog kitsch everywhere. Not terrible. Cutesy. A little dark inside. Plenty of seating, both tables and booths. The service is attentive and frequent.
The food is good. Really good. I ordered a spinach and swiss cheese omelette. It is served with home fries, a slice of fruit (in this case, orange) butered toast and strawberry jam. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and home fries. Also served with orange slice and buttered toast. The omelette was perfectly cooked. NO brown spots. The spinach had flavor, home fries were soft on the outside and crispy on the outside. The bacon is salty, crispy and sooo good. The portions are big. The price point is comfortable. BUT unfortunately, the coffee is needs improvement. That is the negative I have for this wonderful place. Do yourself the favor and read the front of the menu. Very insightful.

I have been to the Frog Pond in Downtown St. Petersburg on multiple occasions and I am a big fan! This was the first experience I had at the St. Pete Beach location and it was excellent! I got the French Toast and my friend got the Steak and Eggs. The food is always fantastic and exceeds my expectations every time!
