Can't beat the view of the wide white sand beach. Free reign of beach as sparce number of beach goers, maybe because of Bird Sanctuary space right off grille. 5 to 10 min walk south of the public parking. The eatery has limited menu options, but the burger with potato salad was delicious. The grille serves the Bon-Aire hotel, worth checking out, with ample tables for munching. Top the food with mixed drinks from the bar and savor the cool breeze and view.
Sandbar Bill's is a great beachfront place for a burger and a beer. The restaurant is hidden behind the "mom & pop" Bon-Aire Hotel, and you are free to use their parking lot, but be sure to let the person at the desk know you're visiting the restaurant, else your car will be towed!Burgers and nachos are good, as are sandwiches and hot dogs! Location is very convenient being right on the beach, we found this very handy and the atmosphere was really good.We placed an order for takeout which didn't take long to be ready, maybe 15 mins. The waitress got a bit annoyed when she'd forgotten we'd said take out and not dine in.
