Besides the expected good service, the food was overpriced for the quality. Avoid the burger.
Cons: The portions are extremely small and are very expensive. For example, the very little cup of guacamole is $18 and the 3 miniature empanadas are $20. Most of the guacamole in the tiny bowl was a big chunk of avocado, and the tiny bowl was half-filled. The Cuban sandwich was very dry. Pros: Beautiful view and peaceful surroundings. Great outdoor dining. The empanadas were pretty good. Overall, I would not choose to eat here again.
I recently dined at the Parasol restaurant inside the Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL with 3 friends and it turned into an unexpectedly delightful experience. While my meal was great 2 friends dishes were cold and hamburger was undercooked. Our server, Brett, was fantastic about it. He promptly took it back and even brought the manager over to address the situation. To our surprise, the manager not only fixed the issue, but went above and beyond by comping the entire meal for all four of us- plus they treated us to dessert! It is rare to see such exceptional customer service, and it turned a small hiccup into a memorable afternoon. The atmosphere was lovely and Brett and the manager made us feel truly valued. I’d highly recommend the Parasol to anyone looking for nice place for lunch.

We are locals and had high hopes for Parasol. The good views was were the positives stopped. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged, another 10 for a server and then paid $22 for a Expresso martini for my wife that we had to send back because it wasn't made properly. How do you screw up an expresso martini. Plus 18% auto gratuity? We will never return.

Visited this place with family members for the holiday season thinking I would be amazed by the food quality, I was wrong lol. Great views but the quality of the food was very poor, I could have ordered the same dish at another restaurant for more of a reasonable price and a higher quality of products. I don’t mind paying for food but what we got was not worth the money.

$24.00 for a somewhat small portion of warm, wilted lettuce… This was the Kale and Baby Gem Caesar salad.

TIP: The Mexican Street Corn side is a MUST! Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with excellent food and drinks at Parasol. The chicken wrap, blackened shrimp, and carne asada tacos and the street corn were excellent. Drinks were very good to. All the staff were friendly and they did not mind that we lingered for quite a long time through the afternoon.

I had a terrible experience at this place. Both the hostess and barman were extremely rude. What's worse, I was there with my 60+ year old mother, and they showed no consideration for us whatsoever. I would definitely not recommend this place. Although the ambiance was cute, the service was below-average, and the food was equally disappointing.

More than an hour to get the food, the server never kept away anything from the table and the check took 10 minutes more.

Spent a quiet afternoon overlooking the pool at Parasol at the Vinoy. The perfect breeze set the tone for a lovely afternoon on the patio. The Red Sangria’s were delicious and honestly could have ordered a pitcher!! But the delight was in the food! Tuna Tostadas, carne Asada tacos, and a burger topped with manchego cheese and bacon were all beautifully served along side sides of sweet potato fries and black beans and rice. A definite stop for a mid-day lunch outing while shopping in St Pete or strolling in the park. We finished it off with pastries downstairs, but we didn’t get those photos. The dessert captivated us and we were a tad distracted. ❤️

Beautiful location overlooking the pool deck & Vinoy Marina. Come for this. Nice chill daytime atmosphere for lunch. Good background music. Nice service. Food is about as expected for an upscale hotel. The Cubano sandwich was very good, as well as the Queso Blanco Bacon burger. (The real star is the Mexican Street Corn side…whoa!! So tasty.) Overall the Vinoy is a great destination on its own and this outdoor spot is worth the visit.

Went Christmas Day both Kevin and Joseph were excellent! I had the banana bread old fashioned and a burger. Both were excellent! My friend got the Cuban and two frozen drinks which she loved! Highly recommend for great vibes and food by the pool.
