On vacation at Clearwater, and as a Cuban from Houston, as soon as you step on Florida you think on Cuban food. We looked and visited a couple of restaurants ( La Teresita/ Cuban Breezes) and only received disappointment. On the third day we decided to drive the 40 minutes to Pipo’s Cuban cafe. Great ambiance and relaxed welcoming. Every plate has that Cuban originality. At this restaurant you will not see a Cuban sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes because it will take away...

I had lunch today at Pipo's The Original Cuban Cafe because y'all recommended it. It didn't disappoint! Y'all were correct. It was delicious! I had the picadillo with yellow rice & black beans. Then for a snack later, I had a beef empanada. The juicy stuff in the picadillo is NOT grease (in case someone was wondering), it is flavor! It was great to dip the bread slices in. That sauce is cilantro sauce - so good! Go and check it out for yourself if you haven't...

I had the pork dish. The whiter meat was very dry and over cooked. Rice was good.

Critical issue: I was in a party of six and the cashier ignored to take my order after my party gave theirs and instead helped an elderly lady who pushed her way in front of me (to go order) before I could give my order with my group. Then cashier proceeded to have an extended chat with her while her partner selected his to go order.

Second time here. Owner...
