We arrived late on a Thursday, after 9pm. There aren’t many places still serving food that late on a weeknight in Sanford, so Buster’s immediately earns points for that.
The place was kind of quiet when we walked in, with just a few people at the bar. It’s dark inside, worn-in and full of character, with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and Guinness banners that give it a slightly old-world European pub feel. The music was what you’d expect for a late-night spot.
They have an impressive list of European beers on tap, plus even more available by the bottle and can. We went with the BRLO German IPA (7% ABV) which was crisp and hoppy with a piney aroma, citrus notes, and a clean, slightly bitter finish that paired perfectly with the food. They also have cocktails and rotating limited-edition drafts.
From the late-night menu, I ordered the BBQ Pork Sandwich, made with house-smoked pork and topped with crispy fried onions on a brioche bun. The pork was tender, juicy, and lean, with a sweet and tangy sauce. The fries are the best fries in town: thick-cut, crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and clearly made from real potatoes. I upgraded to truffle frites which isn’t necessary because they’re great on their own, but the addition of aioli and grated Parmesan made them even more indulgent.
My wife ordered a grilled cheese, which is listed as an add-on to the tomato bisque. She skipped the soup but enjoyed the sandwich. She mentioned it would have been even better with a different cheese choice or a few pickle slices in the sandwich for contrast, though that’s a personal preference.
We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Overall, this is exactly the kind of place you want for a laid-back late-night bite. Recommended.

Came on a saturday. There was only one server and one runner, who knows how many kitchen staff. They were trying their absolute best though. Hope that the understaffing was a fluke, because staff worked their hardest and food was pretty good, especially the poutine (which is more a loaded gravy fries but still good)

What an awesome place. We went for lunch on Saturday. I had a hamburger and my wife had the poutine. Both were excellent. The garlic aioli on the buger was out of this world. We stayed for the drag show which was so much fun. The performers were amazing and incredibly funny. We had a great time!

Went for the soup somebody recommended to us so we went. More of a bar than a restaurant. Soup was good but not something I'd go back for. Food was ok. Service was ok.

The prices were surprisingly high. I paid $10 for just four chicken wings and another $10 for French fries. The German beer $10 which it was even served in a small wine glass, I was in Germany at least a glass would've be better it felt inappropriate.
Service was also disappointing. When we asked one of the staff members to take a photo, he sent someone else instead. Most of the servers were not very friendly, although one did make an effort to be pleasant. Because of this, we did not leave a large tip.
I had not been to this establishment in six years, and unfortunately this visit confirmed it will be my last. Despite it being a Friday around 4 p.m., the place was nearly empty, which says a lot.

I visited Buster’s on karaoke night, and while the atmosphere was entertaining, my experience was marred by a couple of issues. I ordered the bistro wings from the late-night menu, and although they were tasty, they were all drums and no flats, which was a letdown. The bigger issue came when I got the bill: the menu clearly listed the wings at $15, but I was charged $19. When I addressed this with Cassandra the bartender, I was told the menu hadn’t been updated, and no effort was made to correct the price or offer any compensation. It would have been basic courtesy to inform me of the price difference upfront so I could make an informed choice. Overall, I left quite disappointed.
I will not return.

First time visiting my stepdaughter and her husband took us there. Wide selection of German and European beers a little pricey but all in all worth it
