“We have been customers of Carrabba’s for over 25 years, but unfortunately, the lasagna at the Sanford location has changed. Our recent order arrived with almost no pasta, mostly cheese and sauce. The manager kindly replaced it and offered a discount, which we appreciated, but the second lasagna still only had one layer of pasta. This is not about compensation — it’s about consistency and quality. We hope Carrabba’s brings back the lasagna quality we have enjoyed for many years.”

“This is my favorite place in Sanford. The owners have created an incredible space for community that welcomes all. They have a weekly run club, trivia, game night, and yoga. They also have other weekly occurring clubs as well as events like book swaps, craft clubs, plant swaps. They host regular art shows with themes displaying local artists. It also helps that the beer is delicious. They always have a cider, Selzer and at least one sour option. They have kombuchas and also have non alcoholic options in the cold case. They have juice and soda as well. They an area with toys for children and a lot of regulars have young children and come with their families.”

“Community Brewhouse is the kind of place that keeps us coming back again and again. The beer is consistently excellent, with a thoughtful rotating selection that always has something fresh and fun. On our most recent visit, I had the Alien Space Juice (a hazy NEIPA at 6.4% ABV that was raw, juicy, and bursting with hop flavor), while my wife enjoyed the Squirrel Chaser (a 5% golden lager, crisp and classic). Both were fantastic. The service here is truly off the charts. Gabe and Ernie are behind the bar and are warm, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like family the minute you walk in. Jose is also outstanding, attentive and genuinely friendly and a marketing genius. That level of hospitality sets Community Brewhouse apart. We also have to give a shout-out to Gary, one of the brewers. Once we tried his Beerless Shadow beer, which comes with one of the best backstories we’ve ever heard. The name comes from a real brewery mishap: a pipe opened and blasted a pressurized stream of beer across the room. Gary happened to be standing in the line of fire, and when it stopped, the wall behind him showed a perfect silhouette where the beer hadn’t landed. That outline became “Gary’s Beerless Shadow.” We love grabbing a pint and sitting outside for a game of cribbage. On 9/24 we had the chance to attend their wine & cheese kickoff event. It was a wonderful expansion of what they offer: Tom, the “Sanford Sommelier,” curated a lineup that included Cava, Loire Sauvignon Blanc, Mencía, Chilean Carmenere, and a reserve Cab/Carmenere blend. These aren’t the typical value wines you’d expect to see at a brewery. Real thought went into the lineup, the prices were very affordable, and the cheese pairings were spot-on. It’s exciting to see them growing beyond beer into wine, while still keeping that neighborhood, community-driven vibe. Highly recommend Community Brewhouse, whether you’re into craft beer, good wine, or just good people!”

“Family was visiting from out of town last week, so we placed a large to‑go order at the Pollo Tropical in Sanford. When it came time to pay, our debit card kept getting rejected, even after the staff tried multiple registers and attempted to split the payment.

We were about to remove items to pay in cash when the manager, Pedro, explained there was a software glitch preventing debit card payments over $50. He immediately stepped in and discounted our order by 35%, which allowed us to get everything we needed.

With a little patience and understanding, what could have been a frustrating situation turned into a positive experience. Our whole family was extremely grateful for Pedro’s help and the Sanford team’s effort to make things right.”

“The Cajun fried rice was excellent. The beignets and banana foster were superb!

It was my hubby's birthday and the server brought out beignets and sang happy birthday! That was nice.

Big complaint...the overall service dampened the whole dining experience. No silverware on the table, so the food came and we had to wait to dig in. Had to get up to request a knife and then ask a couple of times for sauce. The server was not friendly and attitude lackluster.

Service is a huge part of the dining experience, if the food wasn't excellent I would have taken off 4 stars. I'll pass on future dine in but will potentially order to go. The food was some of the best Cajun I've had in years!”

“Mikey is the best worker there!! I try to go in whenever he's working because I am always greeted with fantastic customer service and delicious smoothies and food! Not only is he great at food and service but he always seems to be active working on something aside from other employees I've seen him working with, particularly one (coughcough Madison). Overall he is awesome and a very hard worker. Give this kid a raise!!!”

“Such a hidden gem ! The vibe is incredibly chill and lowkey, and everyone from the workers and the owner to the other customers are so welcoming. The drinks are amazing! On top of that, the setup is really cool. They have a pool table, video games, and board games to keep you entertained. If you just want to hang out and relax, there are plenty of seating areas everywhere, including the bar, comfortable couches, and a great outdoor space.”

“I recently decided to give this Charlie’s Cheesesteaks & Wings a try since it’s close to my house, and I’m so glad I did. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be this impressed, but from my very first visit they completely exceeded my expectations.

The employees are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I’ve come across in a long time. Everyone is polite, patient, and genuinely seems to care about providing great customer service. It’s refreshing to walk into a restaurant where the staff greets you with a smile and makes you feel appreciated as a customer.

The food has been outstanding every single time. Everything is always made fresh, prepared correctly, and tastes amazing. Whether it's the cheesesteaks, wings, or fries, you can tell they take pride in what they serve. My orders have always been accurate, the food is hot when I receive it, and the quality has been consistently excellent.

It's becoming harder and harder to find restaurants that deliver both great food and exceptional customer service, but this Charlie's does both. The entire team deserves recognition for the job they're doing. They have definitely earned a regular customer, and I'll continue recommending this location to my friends and family.
