This cajun girl and had the grilled oysters, Gumbo, shrimp and grits and Bayou chicken(she had help😎) Great experience! We will be back!
The Cajun fried rice was excellent. The beignets and banana foster were superb!
It was my hubby's birthday and the server brought out beignets and sang happy birthday! That was nice.
Big complaint...the overall service dampened the whole dining experience. No silverware on the table, so the food came and we had to wait to dig in. Had to get up to request a knife and then ask a couple of times for sauce. The server was not friendly and attitude lackluster.

The Bayou Kitchen & Lounge is a true gem serving absolutely delicious and authentic New Orleans style and Cajun food. The quality and flavor are spectacular, with a large menu offering everything from perfect oysters and authentic gumbo to tasty poboys, a huge Bayou burger, and excellent shrimp and grits, rice and beans, chicken waffles, beignets, and hush puppies. The service is friendly, fast, and spot on, with fair prices for the portions. The atmosphere is enhanced by a killer playlist. It is a must-try spot that impressed visitors from New Orleans and is highly recommended for a return visit.
