The Current Seafood Bar Sanford is a clean, aesthetically pleasing restaurant with exceptional service. The food is awesome, with the blackened Mahi sandwich being the best ever, seasoned and cooked perfectly, juicy, and with a perfect ratio on the bun. The West Virginia oysters are also recommended. The fish and chips have a light and crispy batter with flaky fish, while The Current Salad with blackened salmon is fresh with a great blackened flavor. The blackened shrimp with garlic parmigiana french fries is fantastic as always. The service team is attentive and helpful, and the gentleman with a gray beard was very helpful. The fish is priced well for the quality. This place is a gem, and many guests say if they lived in Sanford, they would frequently eat here. It is a great casual spot downtown for solid seafood without overcomplicating it.
