Excellent food. Went there this afternoon for lunch and enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this place. The service was excellent and being picky with my diet she even offered to show us what they were serving and the nutrient labels so we could make decisions based on our diets. Great customer service and great food. Will definitely be back.

Food and drinks were great. We were there for a quick dinner before getting back to a work event and they let our group bring in food from the other nearby fast food places. They were so kind and accommodating! Those of us who ate and drank there loved it! Everyone enjoyed the setting and hospitality!

Pan de Bono was solid, arepa was good enough. Lemon cake was bland and boring texturally. Pina colada cake did not taste good. Boring texture. Mocha Frappe was wayyyyy top sweet and bland. Chai was very flavorful. Empanadas were okay at best.

The food is consistently top-tier, but the last two times I've been there have been months apart. The restaurant has a strong, unpleasant smell of feces and urine right when you walk in. The bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. Sanford is the new Winter Park. Please help this location corporate.

Update 09/26- the issues have been fixed. We had a pleasant breakfast in the restaurant this morning. Thank you!

I'm very disappointed in this location. On the one hand, the servers are all friendly and the food is good. On the other; there really is not much care or concern for detail. I can not have milk. I make it clear every time I go in I am lactose intolerant. For the third time in two weeks this morning I was given milk in my latte instead of Oatmilk as requested. I'm being charged extra for something I am allergic to and it's becoming very frustrating. Yes, the employees on the last two instances made things right and gave me a new latte when I brought it back- but I should not have to do that. I am at the point where not only am I going to avoid this location moving forward; I'm not sure I can comfortably recommend it to others. This is a health concern.

Omelets were under cooked, runny egg on the inside. We sent them back and were returned with same Omelets a little more cooked. Cashier and cook didn't understand English too well, I guess since they did fix Omelets correctly. Very disappointed.

The café itself is beautifully decorated and spacious—definitely has a cozy, inviting vibe that caught my eye on social media. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the expectations. I asked if they served coffee in mugs like they show online, and while they said yes, they refused because they were about to close. I also paid over $4 for a single pandebono and over $6 for a hibiscus iced tea, which felt excessive. Most bakeries sell pandebono around $1.50-$2.00. The prices overall are just too high for what’s offered. Disappointed by the lack of consistency and value, especially given how charming the space is.

Echoing my own words back to me—bold move! 😄 Curious what you actually think though.

I’ve been a loyal fan of this franchise for years. I’ve frequently visited both the Lake Mary and Sanford locations since they opened, as well as others across Florida. But this last experience was beyond disappointing.

As soon as I walked in, the overpowering smell of incense was almost unbearable — and I’m talking about just waiting 15 minutes. This place no longer feels like a Latin café. It’s more of an Indian -style café, and they should clearly state that, because not everyone enjoys flavors like cumin in everything they serve. The empanadas were hard, dry, with a strong unpleasant smell, and the flavor reminded me more of Indian food than anything Latin.

I ordered two coffees — all of them were cold, lacked flavor, and were just full of milk.

The service was awful. Worst of all, I witnessed the woman at the register (the owner I guess) treating a Hispanic employee very poorly, both verbally and with disrespectful gestures. It was extremely uncomfortable to watch, especially since the employee had done nothing wrong.

We paid over $50 for two empanadas, an inedible “tequeño,” and three coffees (including one I didn’t order). To top it off, they added $14 in gratuity.

I don’t know if there was a change in ownership, but something definitely changed — and not for the better. This is no longer the place I used to love. I won’t be coming back.
