Ordered the egg drop soup and hot and sour soup and they were AWFUL. The egg drop soup tasted like onion water, and the hot and sour soup tasted like dishwater. And to top it off the crispy noodles they gave were completely stale. So disappointed as I really was wanting to enjoy a bowl of hot soup on this cold night.

This place is good I’m not gonna lie I like it but every time the prices are different and the portions are not that much I used to come for 2 combos for $22 or $23 now I’m charged $33 for two things and for a small side of plain hard broccoli they charged me $11 I didn’t think it was ok for the price but every time I go they give me a more expensive price and other people who I know that go there get different prices for the same things as well it’s honestly sad :(

I normally eat at China Star but they’re closed on Monday’s so I gave this place a try. To claim that you have the “Best New York Style Chinese Take Out in Sanford” as stated on the website is a misconception. The food tastes nothing like authentic New York styled Chinese food and the portions wouldn’t feed a 5yr old. This is exactly why I stick to what I know. You want authentic Chinese food with good portions go to China Star.

Always good food and speedy service if you are looking for Chinese fast food take out. I get the egg foo young and think is better than anywhere else around. We get egg rolls, wontons, wings, spare ribs depending on how we are feeling each time we go. My hubby loves their LoMein noodles the best and all of the dishes with mixed vegetables have a nice amount. Portions are definitely shareable. We have never had an order mistake and have ordered from here at LEAST 20 times. If you are looking for a sit down place, keep looking, but for good take away we love it!

I was super worried about finding a Chinese place I’d enjoy when I moved here because I’d been going to my previous spot for yearssss.I won’t even bother going to try anywhere else. Super convenient location for me, and the food is top notch.Get the chicken and broccoli, I would die for the sauce

The shrimp lo-mein is great, so is the general tso chicken. Service is quick but a bit rude. Not sure about any of the other dishes, I’ve only tried the two dishes mentioned. 4 Stars for sure!
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! First time customer - wish I had read the reviews. Egg Rolls were so hard I could barely chew threw them and the fried rice is horrible!!!!! The sweet and sour pork was not good either, all the food is bland not hot. It seems as if they are reheating the food and not cooking it fresh. I don’t know what the issue is but it is the WORST Chinese Food I have ever had.Never going back!!

Do not eat here, don’t waste your time or money. We went only because it was Sunday and our usual spot was closed. The “fried rice” was so bland I couldn’t even taste it. My husbands tsao chicken wasn’t even tsao chicken…… and the crab rangoons were so fishy we couldn’t even choke one down. I work in healthcare - this was my only meal of the entire day at 6:30pm and I still threw it away. And to top it off, the lady at the counter is so incredibly rude. Drive the distance for decent food. I highly recommend Shanghai in Heathrow (our normal go to). We will NEVER eat here again.

Chicken chow mein, beef fried rice, Orange chicken with vegetables and a ou pu platter. My wife says it reminds her of New York Chinese food, not perfect but very tasty

Not the best, not the worst, but pretty far down at the bottom. Orange Chicken, General Tso's, Sweet & Sour were all decent - again nothing special, flavors were very forgettable, about as middle of the road as you can get. The lady that works the front counter, assuming the owner, is exactly as advertised - I wouldn't say outright rude, but don't expect a smile. It's irrelevant anyways... as long as the food is good and the order is correct. Unfortunately ours wasn't - we ordered 2 combo's that are supposed to come with an egg roll each. Our order was missing both. 2 biggest negatives: do not expect even remotely close to anything resembling fried rice. The combo's come with pork fried rice, and you can order different kinds of fried rice off the menu. The rice consists of basic yellow rice, steamed, with a few very old (some literally inedible) frozen vegetables mixed in. I'm not a huge fried rice eater, but I'd seriously question the reasoning behind anyone saying this version is good. The other negative, in my opinion, was the extremely small portion sizes. I know everyone is cutting corners now but the amount you get was comparable to half the amount you get at 99% of the other Chinese takeout restaurants - for the same price. It's a shame we don't have better options for Chinese food in the Sanford/Lake Mary area. You won't find much, but I'd honestly look elsewhere.

Nostalgic! Exactly what I would expect to get from a local NYC Chinese food take-out spot. Fried rice and specialty dishes are filled with msg but frankly - I wouldn't want it any other way. If you're looking for something more elevated then this isn't for you.
