This our sending time here and it has been excellent both times. No MBAT, and has the right amount of bitterness for their styles. I highly recommend trying Community Brewhouse! I have had a red ale, brown ale, and fest bier and enjoyed them all.Homebrewers take note, they know how to brew, listen to them. We 100% will return!

How did we ever miss this place? Maybe because it is known more as a brewer’s supply house, perhaps, but they also brew and sell beer. And they do a fine job at both.Located amid the restaurant and retail operations of Hollerbach’s German Restaurant in downtown Sanford, Community Brewhouse is a very unassuming little place with limited bar seating, six stuffed chairs, and that’s about it. Oh, and also supplies should you be into home brewing. So this technically makes Community Brewhouse Sanford’s fifth brewery, along with a taproom from from an Orlando brewery. I tried 3.5-ounce sampler glasses of the Porchfest Bier (6% ABV; 30 IBU) and the Grumpy Boar Pub Ale (4.2% ABV; 60 IBU). It was love, love, love at first sip with the Porchfest, and I knew then that a pint was in my near future. As for the Grumpy Boar Pub Ale, mine was rather flat. There was little foam, and little mouth feel or flavor. I could not see another pint of this. I doubt the intent was such as poorly-received beer; instead, I suspect this one may have been tapped a while ago, and had simply run its course. That said, I enjoyed our visit, and would certainly return. It was good to see brewers from another Sanford craft brewery in there sipping a cold one. That tells me that the craft breweries in this fine town are more of a partnership than might meet the eye.

Stop by for a fresh brew of coffee or beer. Unique brewhouse that offers both in a super chill atmosphere.Bring a book during the day and hang out on the couches or belly up to the bar.Try all varieties, from a soft lager to a biting IPA, there's something for everyone.

Great atmosphere! The chai latte and the butterscotch lattes were superb! The coffee cakes were delicious and moist! I don't drink alcohol, so I didn't have any of their fabulous sounding beers, but I plan to bring my hubby back to try them out!

Great homebrew shop that serves a large variety of beers from the shop brew master. Very low key, and they have retro video games for entertainment.

Amazing friendly, personable & attentive service from Rob! He also shared downtown community events for us tourists.Comfy & cozy indoor seating includes vintage video games!Outdoor seating available!Flights available - choose your quantity! The sour was so sour - I loved it!!!!! You can also add syrup flavours to it. I'd like to try the King Cake if it's lactose-free.The mango beer uses real mango juice!

This place rocks! I got the Homebrewing 101 class for Christmas (which btw is a great gift!) and we had a blast. We spent time making our own beer, drinking some of theirs, and making friends. They really care about their customers and those that take their class! Really great guys running this place.I would highly recommend checking them out to grab a drink or take a class!

The little guy among the big 4 breweries in Sanford, but definitely worth a stop on your Sanford brew hop! Cozy inside seating and a couple of tables on the sidewalk outside. Stop by for one of their brews, get supplies for your own, or even learn how to brew!

Smaller than the others in the historic district but good, nonetheless. The beers I tried were all decent, and poured into the most generous "pint" glasses anywhere. I am always rooting for the little guy to make it and Community Brewhouse is a good example of that. Try the Jingly Puff Porter if you do stop in.

Loved this little brewhouse and the variety of beer options, including my favorite Samuel Smith's. Gary was super knowledgeable and helpful.
