You have to try this hidden jewel of a restaurant! Puertorican cuisine at its best. From appetizers, to sandwiches, to full meals. All with the authentic flavor you come to expect. Great latin ambiance, music, and friendly personnel. And all at prices you won't believe! Chicharrón, pernil, chillo frito, costillas, chuletas... Want more? Arroz con gandules, yuca, tostones, alcapurrias...and dessert! Best in town!!!

On our way to the Orlando airport, we were looking for a Latin restaurant and found this little gem in Sanford: Restaurant El Coquí. The food was delicious! We ordered alcapurrias, a tripleta sandwich, and white rice with beans and pork ribs in sauce. We liked it so much that when we returned from our trip, we stopped again for another alcapurria, another tripleta, and a Cuban sandwich. I loved this place so much that I told my husband we might need to drive from Jacksonville just to eat here… or move to Sanford! The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive, the place is super clean, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
